Chapter 13

Maaga palang tunog ng tunog yung cellphone ko…sabado ngayon! Sino bang nagmamadali ng ganitong oras wala
naming appointment ngayong araw. Napatingin ako sa alarm clock ko. What the? Its 4 am. Sinagot ko ang cellphone.

“hellow?” tunog pa talaga ng bagong gising “I swear your still in bed…” pamilyar ang boses na ito… Jonah? I look on
my phone and its Jonah’s phone number “why are waking me at this hour? Its Saturday and dapat lang natutulog pa
tayo.”
“just prepare your camera and your clothes. Id like to show you something.”
“what?” just processing what he said to me. “im here outside”

Tumayo ako at binuksan ko ang lampshade. Tapos tiningnan ko sa labas kung totoo nga ba. And then I saw a black
Maserati Quattroporte. Goodness! Pa bongahan na ba tayo ng sasakyan ngayon. Nang Makita ko na ang sasakyan ni Jonah.
Kinausap ko ulit siya.

“what the hell is wrong with you? Saan mo ninakaw yang sasakyan mo?”
“ninakaw agad di pweding regalo lang?”
“regalo? Oh my gressshh… di ko alam na birthday mo ngayon…” I heard his laugh from the other line.

“actually my birthday will be next month, this was a gift from my parents I just want to show it with you. Will you ride
out with me?” I gasped like I took a big amount of air from shock. Ang yaman ng parents niya. infairness parang mga
first class among first class. “ang yaman niyo naman, ano bang trabaho ng parents mo?” he answered shortly. “they
own a company” hindi niya siguro gustong ipalabas ang lahat ng meron ang family niya.

“alright this is insane, but
since you are here. I wont deny that I really like to ride on that car…”
“well then what are you waiting for come on!”

Ok. So I dressed quickly and gets out on my room. Carefully not letting my parents caught me getting out. I rushed out
to his car. He lets me seat in the front seat. He smiles so lovely, and I felt my blushing face again. Nakaka attract ang
kanyang simpleng ngiti. Excited siya pinaandar niya ang sasakyan, na amoy ko agad nab ago ang sasakyan. Pati ang
interior nito at mga accessories. “I see your lovin’ my car”

Talagang namulat ang mata ko, “sino bang hindi magkakagusto sa saksakyan mo. Bagong bago at ako patalaga ang
unang sakay mo”
“of course youre the girl that I like”
“so saan tayo pupunta?”
“youll see babe”

We arrive in a little hill from the next town. Pinakita niya sa akin ang magandang view mula sa city. So I yelled
soo loud from excitement. Ang ganda ganda ng mga naglalarong lights. Pati ang violet dawn sky. It seems like the city
never sleeps. How come ngayon ko lang nadiscover ang lugar na ito. Napahug ako kay Jonah ng bonga. At nilabas ko
agad ang camera ko. “thanks Jonah, i really liked it when you brought me here. And by the way advance happy
birthday” then I smiled nicely to him. pero syempre, may kasamang tagong feelings pa yun.

How come that everytime that I look to him. na fafall na naman ako. Inaamin ko talagang attracted ako sa kanya.
Sa sobrang gwapo niya at matalino rin. Minsan nakakalimutan ko na ang mga moments na nagalit ako sa kanya. Para
bang meron siyang magic sa akin. Habang pinaglalaruan ko ang mga angle ng picture ko. Umupo siya sa harapan ng
sasakyan niya at nagposing. He stretch out his long legs. He looks so cool tapos background pa niya ang big city. Kaya
naman kinunan ko siya. And infairness it turned out well.

Lumapit ako sa kanya. Saka pinakita ko ang mga kuha ko sa kanya. I knew it! The way he looks at the picture he
seems to be so fascinated. Natulala ako sa maganda niyang ngiti. Sa eye lashes niyang mahaba at sa complexion ng
kanyang skin. Tapos ang bango-bango pa niya. Parang gusto ko siyang halikan sa cheeks, chos… lang
Then he looks to me, my gressh nahuli niya ako pinagnanasaan siya.

“baka matunaw na ako niyan.” Patawa niyang sinabi sa akin. “see if you like me that much. Why don’t you make me as
your boyfriend…” bigla akong nawala sa sarili ko. “so ano ba tayo ngayon?”
Natulala siya sa akin. Hinuhulaan niya ang mga sinasabi ko. “is that a yes?”

“maybe not maybe yes,” biglang nag jump out yung heart ko. Lumakas ang blood pressure ko. Ano bang nasabi ko
nakakahiya naman. Hindi naman kasi date to, ewan ko kaba. Hindi na ako makapag isip ng tama. Nababaliw na siguro
ako kay Jonah. “come here…” he took my hand and pulled me closer to him. just enough to see his brown eyes and
smell his scent. Kinikilig ako, nakakabaliw ang kanyang presense. Ayokong bumitaw sa kanyang kamay. “don’t play
with me. I wanted it to be serious…”
I bit my lower lips to restrain myself. “how many girlfriends did you have?”

“I only had two, including natalie…” seryoso siya. And I think he didn’t lie. “and I wanted to have you”
Then he stops, and kiss my hand. “I wanted to have a long relationship with you.”
“well… if I said yes, ikaw na ang pinaka una kong boyfriend. And I don’t have any experiences in relationship. Will you
agree to that?” I smiled to him. “some say, first timers are great lovers…” natawa ako.

Parang may double meaning ang
sinasabi niya sa akin. Then we get inside and he took out some food in the trunk. Mainit pa ang mcdonalds coffee niya.

pati ang burger at fries. He even take out spaghetti and fried chickens. Natawa ako, sa kanya. Hindi siya mapili sa
pagkain. “I don’t know what do you like so I took it all”

“I love chickens, fries, and burger” just enough for him to know. “so alam ko na kung saan ka dadalhin sa susunod.”
Napangiti lang ako sa saya. At kumain kami, habang nagkukwentuhan. I really liked him a lot. And seems to like me
more. And its better that our feelings seems to be mutual. After that long session. We took pictures together and get
homes before 6 in the morning.

When I get back home. I found my parents were in the kitchen having a little chitchat. And I saw Matty eating pancakes
with them. He turned his head to see who is in the front door. And when he saw me he drops his pancakes and gives a
wild shock on his face. My parents went to see what he saw and they give me that kind of look again. Im so sorry for
sneaking out. But I really can’t help it.

“can you explain it to me May, bakit ka nasal abas ka? Dahil ang alam ko natutulog ka lang…” my father literally raised
his eyebrows with me.
