Chapter 29

On the next day, Matty went on his office. While he is having a lunch. He decided to drop off from the nearest
mall. He went to buy a new dress for May. May loves dresses, sometimes when they want to tour every Sunday. She
would always dress up. Today he is planning to give her a pitch colored dress with a flower marking on all over the
dress. When he went inside the store, he bumped someone. He was wearing a knitted shirt, with curly hair. A tall
figure, for sure he knows this person. They both stared for a while. And instantly Jonah came to his mind. It was really
him, but he doesn’t look well today. He didn’t dress stylish. He looks so ragged and stressed.

“Hi Matty I believe you still remember me…” he seems so aggressive. Like he was asking him a payback.
“Yes I do Jonah, nice meeting you again bro…” handing out his hands to him. but he was offended by his act. He didn’t
shake hands to him. tiningnan niya lang ito and he raised his eyebrows dominating his power over him. Matty puts
back his hands on his pants. “And I’m here to take back what I own…”

Matty was obviously angry with his sureness and he just punched him in the face. And everybody was disturbed
by his animalistic act. And then the guards went on stopping both parties. Jonah eye him seriously. Like he wants to
punch him too. But just stopped acting through his feelings and gets up. “remember that night when you came to my
hotel and asking me to leave? I did what I have too. And now you owe me Mat, and now I came back for her. And I saw
what you did yesterday. And it seems like you haven’t conquered her heart. I have already given you so much time.
Now I want her back….”

“you don’t dare to do that Jonah!” kumalag si Jonah sa pagkakahawak ng police sa kanya. “of course I will, and you
can’t stop me!”
And he walked away…
Matty clenched his fist. He took his phone and tried to contact May. But she isn’t answering her phone. Maybe
she was busy doing her job.

Before leaving her desk May take out an envelope. It was an urgent job. Her secretary told her that it was from
the CEO of a well-known company in London. The JJ Inc. it’s a company widely known for shipping goods and products.

It was stated in the letter that the CEO wants a picture and he wants to hire a photographer. Her secretary told her it was a self-portrait of him for a front page cover in a certain magazine. This man could be a billionaire too and extremely
picky. He knows how to pick the right job for a right person. And May was the experienced photographer.

Nalaman din nito na very secretive ang client niya. he doesn’t want too much publicity because of his family. He
just want a simple but very intimidating picture. And that’s all, wala na silang nakalap na ibang impormasyon. Hindi
rin nila ma google ang itsura ng CEO may usap-usapan pa na masyado siyang pangit kaya mailap lang siya sa media.
May iba rin nag sabi na isa siyang matandang may asawa at Playboy. Kaya naman ang mga kabit nito ay nag eeskandalo
sa kompanya niya. kaya mahirap na rin ma google ang tungkul sa kanya. Baka lang daw mahalukat pa ang lahat ng
sekreto niya.

So May took the job. Inisip niya wala naman masamang mangyayari sa kanya kung kukuha lang siya ng picture.
And besides hindi naman siya ganoon ka desperada para maghabol ng matandang mayaman na maraming asawa.
Hindi rin siya natatakot sa mga sabi sabi nilang napaka pangit ng mukha ng lalaki. She have seen worse. Napunta na
siya sa iba ibang lugar at marami na rin siyang nakasalamuha. And besides it will be a big break for him. kakaibang
itsura sa mga mundo ng mayayaman.

When she went home, nakita na naman nitong naka abang si Matty sa harapan ng condo niya. Nasa pinto pa siya
may hawak na flowers and shopping bag. It was a Alexander McQueen hand knitted summer dress. Napatakip naman
ng bibig si May sa hawak nito. “why are you buying so much expensive dress Matty?”

“I just wanted to make you special tonight how you doing? Did you meet someone today?”
Nagtaka naman si May “oh No! why? I didn’t see someone new today. So why are you asking that weird question? Is
there someone that I should meet?” napangiti naman si Matty sa kanya “wala naman, akala ko lang nagkita kayong
dalawa ni Beth” binuksan na ni May ang kanyang condo at pinapasok si Matty. “Beth is so busy lately, its imposibble
for us to meet. Kita mo kahit saan na istasyon ng T.V. nadiyan ang commercial niya. Baka next year pa kami magkita
ulit. Why were you asking? Did you miss her…”
Tanong nitong may kahulugan. Napangiti lang si Matty sa kanya. “yes I do, but not in romantic way…”

“well too bad for her, she really do like you until now. Sana kasi nag try ka na mahalin mo siya. See she is still stuck in
you no matter how hard she tries to find someone new.” Napangiti din si May sa kanya. Agad siyang umupo sa sofa at
kinuha ang kanyang heels. Saka nagpalit ng comfy ng tsinelas. “ikaw ba did you try to?”
May looked back to him to understand what he means. And she got what he means. But she looked away not to
fuel up the weird mood from him. “I really tried Matty, and for a thousand times. I do feel like a friend to you. I never
really liked you in the same way you do. So please don’t open up those questions again. You should find a girlfriend
that will love you much more better than me… because I cant love you, I cant.”

She had those pleasing eyes. She stands up and she looked him in the eye. “so will you take this flowers? I cant take it
at home. I just want to give it to you…” raising those red flowers. Matty never really known that she hated red flowers.

She thought that he knows it from the very first moment that they became bestfriends. “as much as I hated it Matty, I
will take it… ayoko kasing nakikita kang malungkot. At baka madagdagan pa ang kalungkutan mop ag nakita moa ng
flowers nayan pagbalik mo sa bahay mo…”

“okay I’ll leave it here… good night May… and be sure to call me tomorrow.
Ng makalabas na si Matty. Agad na tinapon ni May ang bulaklak nito sa trash bin.
