I grabbed a napkin and wiped the soda away from my eyes and face. All eyes were on me. I heard a couple of people laughing.
"Check please." I told the waitress sadly.
I opened my wallet and took out a hundred dollar bill. I sat it inside the folder then handed it back to the waitress.
I got up and left. I looked around the parking lot and didn't see Sunshine. I decide to call her phone even though she probably won't answer.
The phone rang two times and then hung up. I tried a few more times and the same thing kept happening.
I got into my car and texted her.
- I'm sorry. Just let me know if you're safe. If you need a ride I can give it to you. We don't have to talk. My Ray of ✨🌞- k.
I exited out of our messages. "Fuck!" I yelled while hitting the steering wheel.
Sunshine Pov
I was sitting at the bus stop because Milz mom wouldn't let him get the car and Johnna didn't answer the phone.
The bus stop wasn't far away from the restaurant so I got up walked back tot he restaurant.
As much ad I didn't want to ride with him I have to. The bus wasn't coming until 11:00 and its 9:45. Guess I gotta put my pride to the side.
Some people may think that I'm being extra but that shit hurt. I know he canceled the bet but I don't know. Maybe I can forgive him in the future but as of now I'm still pissed off.
I saw his car still sitting there. I walked closer. He had his forehead on the steering wheel. Look like he was lost in his thoughts. I went to the passenger side of the car and opened the door. I thought it'd be lock but it wasn't.
He jumped and reached under his seat. "Shit Sunshine!"
"Mhm.." I made noise and closed the door.
He sighed and turned the car on. He looked at me "Seat belt please."
I snatched the seat belt from the holder and put it on with an attitude.
He chuckled and pulled out of the parking lot and started driving.
"Um my house is the other way." I said.
He smiled, "This a shortcut."
20 minutes later
We were outside HIS fucking house bitch!
"No! Take me home." I said and folded my arms.
He ignored me and got out of the car and came around to my side. "This kidnapping you know." I said.
He opened my door and tried to touch me.
I smacked his hand away.
He hurried up and picked me up.
"DE'RICO!" I yelled
He closed the door and walked up to his house door.
He unlocked the door then locked his car with the remote.
He walked into the house then sat me on the sofa. He went back to the door.
I thought about making a run for it but he was too close to the door. Plus how imma get all the way to my house.
UBER EVERYWHERE? Hell nawl they aint finna kidnap me for real.
He came back to me after locked the front door. "Sunshine I'm so so so sooo sorry. Very sorry. I know what I did was dumb. Imma fuck boy. But I've changed in the little time I've known you. I now realize how it feels to have your heart ripped out of your chest. I know its early but I honestly feel like you might be my soulmate. That's corny but I was so hurt when I realize I'd just lost my future. And I don't wanna do that." he said
That was cute maybe I should forgive him. I mean he did cancel the bet and told me the truth without me asking.
"Ok. I forgive you but don't except me this every time you mess up. I'm a tough cookie to crack and I'll walk past you like I never met you. And don't think every time you give a speech I'm gonna forgive you because I'll easily just answer with k and leave." I said.
"I promise I'll try my best to not do anything to fuck us up." he said
I smiled .
"Be my girlfriend?" He asked
"I already was." I replied.
"Ok babymomma." He grabbed my face and kissed me slowly.
"Still wanna leave?" He asked then pecked my lips.
"I still have a curfew so I have to be home before 12. But I'll stay with you until then."
He pulled me onto his lap. "Do you feel comfortable enough to go up to my room? My mom isn't here shes on a business trip. I'm not trying to do anything nasty if that's what you're thinking."
I laughed at his rambling. " Carry me?"
He picked me up and his hands were griping my ass. We went into his room.
He sat up against the headboard and kept me on his lap. He connected his phone to his Bluetooth speaker. The went to Spotify and pushed shuffle.
We're too cheap to buy the premium package.
Dilemma started playing. I smiled and started singing Kelly's part.
I love you and I need you Rico I love you, I do need you
When Nelly's part came on I told him to rap it.
Uh uh uh I met this chick and she just moved right up the block from me and got the hots for me the finest thing I need to see
2 minutes later
I giggled. " ok. That's out song now." "I'll remember to add it to our wedding playlist in five years." He said.
I rolled my eyes at his silly self.
