Chapter 4. A Secret

Caleb's POV

About a week after Felicity's dance recital, I decided to FaceTime her and ask if she wanted to play Minecraft, since I was bored.

After a couple of rings, Felicity picked up.

"Hey, Caleb." She said with a sleepy smile, she must've just woken up.

"Hi, did I wake you up?" I asked as I looked at my clock; I totally forgot it was only 9 AM.

"No, it's okay, I actually just woke up right before you called." Felicity said. "So what's up?"

"I was just wondering if you wanted to play Minecraft with me." I said.

"Maybe, if I have time. I'm going to hang out with a couple friends later at my house. If you'd like, you can come too." Felicity explained.

"Oh, if you don't mind, I'd love to come over! Who's coming?" I asked.

"Jamie and Liv. You know them, right?" Felicity replied.

"Uh, yeah, I do." I said. "Are you sure you'd be okay with me coming over?"

"Absolutely, and I bet Jamie and Liv will be too." Felicity said with a smile.

Her smile made me smile. "Okay then. What time?"

"They're coming around ten, so you can come whenever you'd like." She replied.

"Alright, I'll text you before I leave."

"Okay. See you soon, Cae." Felicity smiled again.

"See you soon, Felly." I said before she waved and hung up.

To be honest, I wanted to see Felicity, but I didn't want to see Liv; I didn't want to tell Felicity what had happened between us yet, but I know I'll have to soon enough.

A couple hours later, I had Dad take me over to Felicity's house.

When we arrived at her backyard, she was on her trampoline with Jamie and Liv.

Felicity saw me get off the jet ski and grinned before she ran over.

"Caleb, you're here!" She exclaimed as she hugged me.

"Yeah." I laughed as I hugged her back.

"Hey, Caleb." Jamie greeted as she walked over. "I'm Jamie, I don't think we've met before."

"No, I don't think so either. But it's nice to meet you." I said as we shook hands.

"I know we've met before." Liv said with a smile as she hugged me.

I felt awkward hugging her, so I just waited a few seconds before she pulled away.

"So," I said as I cleared my throat. "What were you girls doing?"

"We were practicing some tumbling for our upcoming dances." Felicity explained. "Apparently, we have to start taking gymnastics classes to learn tumbling and Liv was showing me some tricks."

"Cool. Like what?" I asked.

"Well, I just started today, so I'm not very good." Felicity said shyly.
