Jackson's POV
Flashback - a year ago
"Hey Mark." I call Mark who's busy playing with his phone.
"Hm." He replies without saying any words.
"I met a beautiful girl today in the coffee shop." I say straight to the point.
It's always been my habit to tell Mark about everything, especially when it comes to my love life.
I'm not really lucky with my love life, yes, there are tons of girls out there that want to date me, but I refuse to date them because unlike Mark, I prefer to stay in my line, meaning stay in my sweetheart line, and I think that's what makes me hard to have a crush on someone.
But today is different. I met her. Although, it was an accident, but I'm glad I bumped into her. I love how straightforward she was, like she asked my number first, even though I was going to ask her number but she asked me first.
"Cool." That's what he said.
"Just 'cool'? You're not going to say something like 'congratulations, there's 90% chance for you to have a girlfriend' ?" I ask, gosh, he's so boring.
"That's really lame. Plus, you just met and it's in the coffee shop. You were probably just admiring her from far away and not telling her that you like her because you're a coward." Mark shrugs off his shoulders, eyes still fixed on his phone.
I rolled my eyes, but not feeling hurt at all. He's kinda right, I become a coward when it comes to girls, that's probably one of the reasons why people called me a sweetheart, cause unlike Mark, I don't use girls that I don't like, heck, even getting close with them makes me nervous.
"This time is different. I accidentally bumped into her and her coffee fell." I say.
"Do you think your life is a movie?" Mark asks, he doesn't look like he cares at all, but deep down, I know that he cares and that he's listening. After all, it's Mark Thunders, he doesn't really show it when he cares about someone, but I know, he cares, even if it's just a little thing.
"I accidentally made her coffee fell, so I apologized to her and then she asked for my number." I explained.
"Shouldn't you be the one who asks for her number?" Mark looks up at me, his attention is now on me.
"Yeah, I was going to ask her but she asked me first." I say, taking out my phone from my pocket.
"Has she texted you?" Mark asks. I can see from the corner of my eyes that he's trying to see my phone's screen. See? He cares, or maybe just curious, I don't know.
"Nope." I say, clearly I found 0 notifications from an unknown number, meaning she hasn't texted me yet.
"Poor Jackson. She's probably messing with you." Mark says, turning his attention back to his phone.
"Yeah whatever, I'm gonna go to my room cause I've had enough of you being unsupportive towards me." I say, getting up from the sofa and leaving him.
"You're so sensitive like a girl." Mark says making me roll my eyes again but he can't see it cause I have headed to my room.

I go crazy 'cause here isn't where I wanna be
And satisfaction feels like a distant memory
And I can't help myself
All I wanna hear her say is are you mine?
