Mark's POV
"Where's Miles? He's taking so long" Cole says while checking his phone, "it's been 30 minutes already." he continues.
Right now, we are all sitting in the kitchen, waiting for Miles to come back and give us our order (why do I make this sound like Miles is a delivery boy), except me because I didn't ask for anything.
Of course I know that the reason Miles is going out for a while is to avoid the awkwardness between him and Jackson. I heard all of it. Even though I was playing GTA with Cole. I still can hear anything. Who says that boys aren't multitasking? We are, when we want to.
I was a little bit surprise that Jackson asked about Alicia to Miles. I didn't know that Jackson knows Alicia, then I found out that they're stuck with this project.
I could feel that Miles was feeling uncomfortable when Jackson asked him about his ex- best friend. It's a sensitive topic for Miles.
I can say that I'm the closest one with Miles rather than the others. I know everything about his relationship with Alicia because he told me about it. I think I'm the only one who knows the truth. Everyone knows that Miles and Alicia had a relationship back then, but no one really knows what kind of relationship is that (except me and maybe Alicia's friends but idk).
At first I didn't know who Alicia is because I don't think she's a popular girl at school, but Miles keeps talking about his ex best friend and how he misses her so much. So I became curious about her and tried to find out which one is Alicia.
"Hey guys" someone says, entering the kitchen. "You took so long to get my ice cream" Brian pouts, he acts like a little guy, well, he's still a little guy tho. Brian is the youngest amongst all of us. He's a year younger than me.
Brian is in grade 11th, while me and the others are in grade 12th, which is last year of highschool. He's Miles's cousin, that's why he became close to us and join our group.
I'm not really close with Brian, probably because he thinks I'm scary (he told Miles that I look scary and he doesn't know how to react when he's with me) and we are always awkward around each other. We don't talk much, but he's a nice boy so I'm okay with him joining us.
"Sorry young man, something's going on and I need to take care of it first." Miles says, putting down the paper bag that filled with a bucket of ice cream and cokes.
"Anyway guys, I think I'm going home early today." he continues while taking out his car keys from his pocket. "Why all of a sudden?" Cole asks, confused.
Miles is usually the one who sleeps at my house because he said that my house is larger than his house and he feels so much comfortable in my house. When I know, the real reason why he didn't want to sleep at his home is probably because of his parents.
"Yeah, my mom called me when I was on the way back here. She needs my help." He replies, catching my eyes that are staring at him right now. I know that's not the truth but there's no way I would force him to tell me the truth right now, not in front of the other guys. I know that he'll tell me when he wants to.
"Okay, see you tomorrow" I say before anyone else asks another question. "Bye Miles" Jackson and Cole say good bye to him. Brian? He's busy with his ice cream, such a kid.
