Things were back to normal...well almost. Casey hadn't mentioned anything about her sudden delay in transforming back, in fact it was like she was trying to forget it ever happened; nor had she gotten around to explaining what the pizza guy was and how he knew about her.

Derick hadn't said anything pertaining those events either, proving that mind sweeping thing I did on him very effective. Mind sweeping thing. I have no better explanation, so the name stays. Things had actually gotten better between the two of us. We spent more time together, inspite of Casey's apparent distaste of it,  and grew closer than I ever deemed possible. Which is a bad thing now that I think about it. How in the world am I going to end this when all this bonding, and connecting is going on?

"You're deep in thought." I looked up to see Casey in the door way, which wasn't at all unusual, given the time it was. She had a nag of barging into my room in the middle of the night to 'hang out' as she likes to put it. She had on her stripped pijama pants and a large white T-shirt. In her hands, she held a large bowl, filled with butter coated popcorn.

"You're awfully hungry."

"Figured you'd want some, but if you are fine-"

"No! I'm...not." She had turned to walk out but froze at my words.

"Well in that case..." She dashed for my bed and landed on me, rubbing her wet hair all over my face, and spilling pop corn all over my bed and floor.

"Really? Couldn't you just walk like a civilized person?"

"Me? Civilized? Come on Eve, you know me better than that." Legs crossed, with the bowl in her lap, she grabbed a hand full of popcorn and popped it into her mouth. "So, what were you thinking about-"

All of the lights...

"You really need to change that ringtone. Its so last year."

"So are you but you're still here."

"Shut up!"

"Hey Derick."

"Ugh! Him..again! You literally just got off the phone with him!"

"Shush would you!"

"Screw you. I'm out. Keep the popcorn, I've lost my appetite." She stood up and picked up the popcorn she had dropped then headed to the door, looked back at me, before she shook her head and left.

"What was that?"

"Casey. She just banged the door shut."

"It wasn't intentional! Sorry!" Yeah right, like I'm supposed to believe that.

"Anyway, how's my cupcake doing?"

"Good."

"Really? Good? Am I supposed to buy that?"

"Ok. I'm great Derick, how are you?"

"Ok, Evelyn, enough with the sarcasm, care to tell me what's going on?"

This is it. I could do it now and spend the rest of the time getting over him...

"I...I..." Or I could just wait a couple more months. How bad can it get, right? I only have transformed once, and as a bonus, I didn't attack him. That's a good thing right?

"Evelyn... Baby what's wrong?" Oh I am going to miss those words coming from him. Its only going to be harder to let go later, so it would be a pretty smart move to get it over with.

"Derick, we need to talk." But why cut it short? Why not drag it out just a little while longer? How horrible could the heart break really be?

"Sure strawberry. I'm all ears."
