"What if they're watching us now?" Sylvia asked to get everyone paranoid. "I'll scout them out!" Gayle yelled, quickly running around the perimeter of the room. "Stop." Sarah groaned. Gayle slid to a stop and jumped behind Sarah. "I don't really want to go through with this, some of your parents scare me." Diablo stated. "Like who's?" Adrien asked. "I dunno, your mom." Diablo glared at him. "Why does she scare you? She complimented you." He replied. "Yeah but that's very unlikely to ever happen, any other time she'd try to kill you. I'm also not to keen on Gayle's...dad? Father?" He stated then started questioning everything. "There's a silver and a blue one choose which one you're talking about." Gayle said, turning back to her conversation with Sarah. "The blue one, Nightcrawler. He just looks like he could kill you." Diablo stated. Gayle quickly turned around, "My dad, the one who befriended and well, married, someone who isn't on his team. Who almost cried when he stepped on a caterpillar?" She asked. "I thought Quicksilver didn't have a team?" Sylvia questioned. "That's actually a good question, he might be on whatever team dad or Aunt Wanda is on, or neither." Gayle answered. "It's sad when your child doesn't even know what side you're on." Adrien stated.
"Hey Gayle, are you actually their child? I mean probably since you have the tail, fur, and.. the silver blue hair? Partially. But two men can't have a child together.." Sarah questioned. "This is something we don't speak about, Sarah." Gayle pointed at her dramatically. "Alright Alright.." Sarah groaned. "So what now? Tomorrow we're going to be stalked by our parents. Wanna do something out of school?" Adrien asked. "We could go to that diner, but I don't think they like mutants." Sylvia said. "Well, they can get over it. Anyway, some mutants have saved their lives, I don't think they have any room to talk." Adrien stated. "Fine then let's go." Diablo said, trying to push them out the door.

It was only about twenty minutes until they got to the diner. People would glace at them sometimes and others would quickly rush by. "Well aren't these people just rude." Sarah said. She attempted to look at a woman but she averted her eyes and pulled her son away. "See?" Sarah sighed. "Don't take it personally." Gayle said. Sylvia asked, trying to get rid of the negative mood,"What're you guys going to get?" She asked. "I dunno." Diablo answered. "They change their menus a lot." Adrien added on.
Gayle pushed open the door as they walked in. The loud room suddenly became quiet, people stopped eating and turned to them. "What? We aren't stopping you from eating, carry on." Adrien said. Everyone turned back to their food and conversations. "Please take any seat you w-want. I'll be with you in a s-second.." The waiter stated, running to the back room to probably get someone else to serve them. "You'd think they'd be over the whole mutant thing." Diablo groaned. A blonde guy walked over and handed them their menus. "Thanks man." Gayle smiled, giving him a thumbs up. The man stuttered a 'you're welcome' before leaving to serve another table. "I think you broke him." Sylvia whispered.
After they finally got their meals they settled down at the table. "I'm going to make a mini toast." Diablo said, pulling up his drink. "To our last day of privacy for the next month or so." He said. "To our last day of privacy!" They all laughed, catching everyone's attention. "What? Never seen someone laugh?" Adrien turned to the people, glaring. Some turned away and others mumbled an inaudible 'im sorry'.
"I think today's going to be a good day." Sylvia smiled. "Yeah!" Everyone agreed.
