Chapter Five

"Time to get up ladies!" Gayle's dad yelled. He quickly pulled blankets off of everyone and tossed ice cubes into the bed. "OH MY GOD" Sylvia yelled, tripping and falling out of the bed. "Daddd.." Gayle groaned, rolling out of bed. Luckily the only person who didn't get ice was Sarah, because she was sleeping on the floor, lucky duck. "No offence Mr.Maximoff but you suck." Sylvia said. He gasped and pretended to be hurt. "I don't care." He said smiling, running back into the kitchen. Sarah stood up and closed the door. "So are we gonna face corners and change or what?" She asked. A flash of silver and blue light appeared then Gayle had changed. "I'm gonna go help make breakfast!" She giggled, leaving the two girls to continue the awkward conversation.

Once everyone was changed Gayle's dad yelled for breakfast. "Where's Dad?" Gayle asked. "I dunno, probably doing something cool." He replied, serving them toast. "When does this observation start?" Sylvia asked. "Probably around ten, right now it's eight so we got a bit." He replied. "While you guys do that,"He pointed to their food,"I'm gonna go to the meeting room and see what's up. Remember, meet at ten." He said before running off.

The three continued their meals. "What's with the distant Pink Floyd music?" Sarah asked. "My dad treats it like a religion so it's always playing in the background." Gayle said. "Weird.." Sylvia added. After finishing and cleaning up they looked towards each other. "It's nine, what do we do for the next hour?" Sarah asked. "Wanna go watch tv or something?" Sylvia suggested. "Aight." Gayle said, jumping out her chair and going into the living room with the two following her.

A loud knock came from the door. "Get up!" Diablo's dad yelled. "A good morning would be nice." Adrien groaned. "Yeah, but it won't happen. He's not a morning person. Let's get ready." Diablo said. Once they were up and ready they went into the kitchen. "Good morning dad." Diablo mumbled. His dad didn't respond but he did give them bacon and eggs in the shape of smiley faces. "I'm going to meet up with the group. Meet at ten in the main room, don't do anything you'll regret, and do some morning exercises or something." He said before walking out. "Okay then.." Adrien said after he was gone. "Let's get this over with." Diablo stated.

Everyone had finally met up in the main room. The kids were in their normal positions on the couch, except Gayle was resting her legs on Sarah, who didn't seem to care. "Our observation will start momentarily, for now let's decide who you get paired up with first." The professor said. "Let's have Nightcrawler and Wolverine be with Adrien, Mystique with Gayle, Jean and Quicksilver with Diablo, Storm with Sarah, and Cyclops with Sylvia."
