Chapter 9

No one's POV

"Uh..." The skeleton seemed startled.

"I... um.. sorry I didn't mean to bother you. Hehe."

"It's okay! Also let me help you pick your stuff up!" [Y/N] stood up from her seat and walked over to the stranger.

"Help pick up?" The skeleton then looked down to see all of his stuff scattered on the ground.
He panicked and started to freak out.

"Oh no!" The skeleton searched his pockets and found nothing. He freaked out even more and got on his knees and started searching his bag and through his stuff. "Where is it!"

The group seemed kinda surprised at this and just stayed watching.
[Y/N] was just as confused as the others, but she tried to ignore the confusion.

"Hey, maybe I could help you search what you've lost? What are you looking for?"

The skeleton looked up to her and smiled with tears in his eyes.

"I'd really appreciate that! Thank you so much!" The skeleton wiped his tears away and went back to looking.

"What I'm looking for is a golden locket with a blue star shaped gem." The skeleton spoke worryingly.

[Y/N] didn't think much of it and just started looking across the floor to see if it hasn't fallen some place else. A few minutes passed by. Most of the group (Frisk, Asriel, Chara) began to help search for the lost locket. But no matter how much they searched for it, they still couldn't find it.

"*sigh* why isn't it here??.." The skeleton questioned in a sad tone.

"I-it could still be around here! Lets just continue searching for it!" [Y/N] tried her best to keep him positive, but seemed to have much affect.

"Hey Hope. Isn't that suppose to be your job?"

The whole group looked over to where the voice came from.

"Sneaky? What are you doing here?" The skeleton questioned all startled.

"I was looking for you since you never came to class. I found you and I find you freaking out. That isn't like you. What's up?"

"I-I was.. um.. Wait! Aren't you suppose to be in class too???" The skeleton tried to change the topic.

"Bathroom break. So again, what's going on?" She asked.

"I-I... uh.. I lost my locket..."

"That's it? Don't worry I'll help look for it." And with that said, she started scanning the area and stopped. She was looking under the group's table.
"Found it!" She started to walk over to the table and ducked down. She stood back up with a smile and a golden locket at hand.

"Oh my God! You found it!! Thank you so much Sneaky!" The skeleton grabbed the locket and brought it close to him. "Thank you."

"Uh.. well this was such a 'touching' moment." Sans spoke up. "And who are you people. You just envaided our space."

"*cough* you did too *cough*" Chara 'coughed' as she looked away.

Sans just glared at her.

"Oh I am so sorry! I didn't introduce myself! My name is Hope! And this is my good friend Sneaky!" Sneaky waved hello to the others.

"I've already meet you two before didn't I?" Sneaky asked as she looked over at Asriel and [Y/N].

"Yeah you did!" [Y/N] responded happily. "WOAH!!! I remembered!!"

"Well, before I start heading to my class, I wanted to thank you real quick. For trying to help me look for my locket." Hope smiled happily.

"It was no problem! I was happy to help!" [Y/N] smiled.

As Hope and Sneaky left through the cafeteria doors, the whole group just looked awkwardly at each other.

"Well that was... something huh?" Frisk questioned as he smiled.

"Yeah. That was weird." Asriel replied as he continued eating his lunch.

Chara was lost in space as she stared where broth new characters exited. Chara looked at Sans and whispered.
"Sans, I thought you and Papyrus were the only grown monster skeletons besides the other brats..~"

"I thought so too and I haven't gotten any signal of another Sans arriving here..." Sans whispered back in a serious tone. "I'm going to keep an eye on them... I feel like something is not right..."

"Hey guys, the bell is about to ring!" [Y/N] spoke up. "Excuse me, I'm sorry but I forgot your name again. By the way my name is [Y/N] if you haven't gotten that." She made an awkward smile and scratched her cheek in embarrassment.

"It's Sans. And yeah I figured."

"Okay Sans! I heard that you'll be working at the pet store, so I was hoping we could get to know each other so we wouldn't have any awkward moments at the store." [Y/N] said as the whole group went silent.

"How the he-" Sans got interrupted.

"You're going to be working at a pet store??? Oh my god!!" Chara laughed.

"I can just imagine you with the fluffy little animals!" Asriel laughed as everyone just stared at him.

"Will you give us discounts for dog food and treats for the annoying dogs that keep coming into our backyard?" Frisk asked calmly and seriously.

Sans was officially annoyed. "I was forced! So you guys better shut the f*ck up and leave me alone! And you! How the hell do you know I'll be working there?!" Sans spoke in a loud voice, but not loud enough to catch anyone's attention.

"I-I uh.. I heard y-you and Mr. Lucky
s-speaking this morning. I-I'm sorry." [Y/N] looked down amd tremblemed in fear. She then heard a sigh.

"Never mind... forget it... and I'm sorry I scared you... and sure we can hang out later on. Besides I'm pretty sure I just made this a little more awkward than it would've been."

"Great!! Also what do you have next period?" [Y/N] asked.

"French." Sans responded.

"Really?! Me too! Who's your teacher?"

"I think it's Mr. Mer. Weird name."

"That's my teacher!! We have a class together!!"
