"I really didn't expect to see you." Fiona sighed and hugged him tightly, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"I was lookin' everywhere for you, Diana Puzo." Fiona chuckled at the mention of her fake name. She dragged him in her room and locked the door behind them- only to lean on the door.

The smile that was on Fiona's face turned into a frown. "I thought that I'd never see you again. You know, you and the family." At her words Michael instantly made his way to Fiona only to grab her and wrap his arms around her.

He breathed in her jasmine scented hair while she breathed in his cologne and cigarette fragrance. She shut her eyes tightly, not believing that this was true. He too, was amazed by how easy he managed to find her. Michael never expected to find her this easily at all.

As he kissed the top of her head, a little "I missed you" whisper escaped Fiona's lips. It awakened the butterflies in Michael's stomach, it sent shivers down his back and made his heart tingle. "I missed you too, Fay." He managed to say.

"How did you manage to find me?" Fiona suddenly asked, looking up to Michael to meet his eyes.

"Its an odd but funny story actually. I spent months trying to track you down. But then suddenly I see you walking, passing by with your guards." His tone carried humor but also surprise.

He was surprised he actually managed to find her.

A chuckle escaped Fiona's lips but it was quickly replaced with a slight frown. "So, does this mean we stick together now?" Her voice was hopeful.

She didn't want to be alone anymore.

"This means we stick together." Michael clarified.

Its only been a week since the two practically lived together. Sometimes, they made meals together and sometimes the laundry too.

Michael and Fiona shared a bed after their many arguments of who would sleep on the sofa.

Michael decided that it was best if he slept on the sofa, pointing out that it was after all Fiona's temporary place. But then, Fiona would argue that she should be sleeping on the sofa because Michael was her guest.

As the two went back and forth, they came down to the conclusion that they should just share the bed.

At first, it was strange sharing the bed together. Both will be sleeping at the edge of the beds, awkwardly,  both hoping to give the other enough space and comfort.

Until one day, Michael woke up only to be very close to Fiona. It felt normal and instantly from there, they began to sleep closely to one another. Sometimes, Michael would wake up and see his arm around Fiona.

It became normal to them.

However, a question that Fiona wanted to ask Michael kept lingering in her mind. She sat in the tub, wondering whether she should ask him. Her brain was constantly coming back to the question whenever she saw him and it bothered her to no end that she could not face him and spit it out.

Why did he kiss her before she left?

Were their feelings mutual? Or did he just do it because they were in the moment and it seemed to be the right thing to do?

As she got out the tub and changed into her clothes, Michael was just in time back home with groceries in his arms. They were supposed to cook together.

Fiona met Michael's eyes, a genuine smile on his face as he saw her. She had never seen him this relaxed before.

She smiled back at him but instantly, the question popped back in her head. 'Why did he kiss me before I left?'

Michael noticed that even though she was smiling, there was something on her mind. "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, come on lets start cooking, I'm starving."
