"Felicia, do you get paid for having BTS working for you?" A female customer asked me as she made her way to the door with a satisfied smile.
"No, they're doing it because they wanted to. I'm grateful for their help." I answered back with a smile.
"Ah, I see. I'll see you in the dinner hours."
"Thank you for coming." I bowed to her as she left. With only a few customers left, I began to wash some of the dishes. A couple of weeks had passed and I got used to my cousin, Arthur. He was the flirty type, after doing some mild observations. I could only guess what he could be doing now with the few costumers.
Arthur had been asking me a lot of questions lately. For one, he asked me about my necklace and he asked me if I was keeping track of my money. Of course, I answered. Then he asked me if he could borrow some money if he would need some in the future, even the money I planned to save up until December.
I wasn't able to answer that question.
He then asked me if he would still be able to run the business without BTS.
That, I wasn't sure of.
"Hey, you're wasting water." A voice said. I got back to my senses and quickly turned off the fosset.
"Thank you. . ." I turned to see Jin wearing more casual clothing than a tuxedo. I checked to see if Mei was lurking behind his back or something before I continued to wash the dishes.
"Felicia," Jin was still there. I placed a couple of plates in the washer before turning it on. "I feel like you've been-"
"Jin! I've been looking for yoooou!" Mei ran up behind him and back hugged him. Jin made a little grunt sound and laughed it off. I took this opportunity to check the fridge so I wouldn't have to look at Mei's face.
"Hey, Mei." The optimistic sound in his voice dropped a whole lot.
"There's an order for orange chicken with white rice on the side." I felt her voice penetrating at my ears. I closed the fridge and nodded.
"Got it. . ."
"Let's go Jin!" Mei dragged him by the arm and they both left the kitchen. I watched their backs slowly fading away from my sight with a frown. I had a feeling Jin was going to ask me if I was avoiding him.
I kinda was. Ok, I was! I tried not to make it look noticeable, but he caught me. I opened the dishwasher, feeling the steam melting my face. I sighed, it was either Mei's wrath or Jin's friendship. I couldn't tell Jin. He wouldn't believe me if I told him his girlfriend was threatening me. During the past weeks, none of Mei's threats were coming at me like a bullet. So far. . . so good. I only hoped it was worth it in the end.
"I'm such a bad friend. . ." I mumbled, having this bitter urge to cry. I wished Mei never existed in Jin's life.
O~~~~~~~O
The lunch hours finally ended, and I was dying to eat some food, especially the members as they stared at their empty plates right in front of them. Taehyung really wanted pizza, even though I was making pasta for everyone. He literally made cute faces that I couldn't say no.
Pasta was ready and Taehyung's pizza was in the oven. As most of the members ate, Namjoon clapped his hands together for everyone's attention.
"Um, Felicia. There's something we need to tell you, and it's pretty important." Namjoon started. For some reason, I felt nervous and I rather not hear what he was going to say.
