Relax

As I ate my breakfast with the members of BTS, my mind kept running around my head on how would I tell Jin and the others about Mei about her true nature. I didn't want them to pity me, I just wanted to express how I felt during the past weeks. Jin needed to know the truth because I didn't want him to get hurt. It's going to be awkward if I were to talk to Jin from across. I took in a deep breath and tried to relax my shoulders. I stared at Jin as he stuffed his face with more pancakes from his plate. 

Here goes nothing. . .

"Um. . . J-Jin. . .?"

"Jin! I forgot to tell you something!" Taehyung exclaimed which startled some of the members. 

"Huh? What is it?" He swallowed his food and drank his cup of orange juice. I deflated myself onto the table. Taehyung literally had to interrupt me. At the same time, I was a bit grateful, me being under pressure to ask just one question. . .

"Mei's been cheating on you with Felicia's cousin." 

Taehyung. 

He read my mind and helped me. 

He knew my thoughts.

"What?!" Jin shouted as he shot up from his table. The members had shocked reactions as well, but it wasn't as shocking as Jin's. "Wait, is it true? How do you know-? We've been in Japan!" Jin sat back down because Namjoon tugged his shirt and told him to sit back down before he caused more attention. 

"Felicia said so. She told us everything about Mei cheating on you while we were away." Taehyung then glanced at me with his smile. My fork slowly slipped off of my hand for just being so flustered. I received stares from the members and so did Jin. 

Jin's eyes met mine and he looked very down. "Is that true?" 

I nodded shyly when the attention from the table came to me like a bomb. "Can I talk to you. . . privately?" 

"Yea. . ."

I led Jin to the swimming pool area that currently had no people in it. It was quiet with only the trees and birds whispering to each other. I turned around so that I was face to face with Jin. My face began to heat up, realizing how tall he was compared to me. Seeing him up close was so unreal.

I just wanted to hug him and never let him go.

I stared at my feet to keep myself from stuttering. I wanted him to understand what I was about to say. "While you were all away. . . Mei has been cheating behind your back. . . and when I caught both my cousin and Mei together, she threatened me."

I placed my hand on my chest where my necklace used to be. "The proof is my necklace. . . she has it. . . if I don't obey her, she'll get rid of it. So, I had no choice but to obey her. She used my weakness to take my money. . . . and my pride. . . As long as she has it, I can't do anything about it. Plus Arthur has my phone. I couldn't respond to your text messages. . ."

May was such a painful month for me. I couldn't take all of this pain anymore. "So I snuck out of my own house. . . . and stayed at a hotel." I cried at myself for a while before looking back at Jin's face. It was hard for me to read his expression. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to cry. . . in front of you." 

"Felicia," Jin quietly called my name. I watched him placed his hands against both of my cheeks. "You weren't acting like yourself when I saw you. I knew something was up. I didn't think Mei was that kind of person." He slowly wiped my tears with the edge of his thumbs. "Don't worry about it. I'll end it all today. Mei will come clean and we'll get your necklace back."
