Kade

Olivia looked so gorgeous tonight, the way the dim lights in the restaurant Shawn down on her, she looked like an angel.

We were seated at a table for two, I pulled her chair out for her she sat down, then I walked to the other side of the table and sat down.

We sat there not saying a word to one and other, until I broke the silence by asking her "So, which part of L.A do you live in?" I know, it's weird that we've become best friends and I had no idea which part of L.A she lived in.

She laughed and replied "Santa Monica."

It was kind of scary how many things we have in common, and we both met up over this summer.

We both live in L.A, same age, into the same things. It was like we were always meant to be best friends but we didn't fine each other until this summer.

After I asked her that question it broke the ice, we were talking and laughing until the restaurant closed at 10PM.

We drove home, through the dark streets with all that lit up were the headlights on my car.

When we arrived back at the houses I didn't want the night to end so I asked her "do you want to go for a boat ride with me?"

"I'd love to!" She replied sounding relieved. It was almost like she didn't want the night to end either.

I parked my car in the driveway to my house, I walked around to the other side to open her door for her. We walked down towards the back of my house where the boat was.

I walked with my hands in my pockets, and she walked next to me.

Breaking the silence once again I asked a question "So what made you and your family want to come up here for the summer?"

"Oh um, actually my dad surprised us with this trip, I honestly had no idea what we were going." She said followed by a chuckle.

"Haha so he just told you guys to get in the car and started driving?" I asked.

"Pretty much." She said well laughing.

When we reached the boat I jumped in, and held my hand out to help her in. I put the key in and started the boat, she sat in the passengers seat next to the drivers seat where I sat.

I started driving, I decided to take us back to the spot where I asked her out.

When we got there I cut the engine, and nodded my head over to the back of the boat, silently asking if she would like to join me there. She got up and walked to the back with me and we both sat down.

"It's pretty chilly tonight." she said well rubbing her arms to keep her warm. "Do you want my jacket?" I asked her.

"Would you mind?" She replied softly. "Not at all." I took of my jacket and put it around her.

"It's so beautiful here." She said with a smile, looking out onto the lake.

"I know" I said smiling at her. I leaned over to the side of the boat hanging my body slightly over the edge to feel the water. "Jeez the water is beautiful tonight." I said.

"It'd be perfect for a swim." I said followed by a wink.

She laughed, "I stood up and began taking off my shirt and shoes.

"What are you doing?!"

"Going for a swim duh!" I replied smiling at her.

Olivia

The lake was so peaceful it was just the two of us out there.

He stopped the boat when we arrived at the same beautiful place where he first asked me out.

The night was so perfect, I look over towards Kade and he's taking off his shirt, "what are you doing?!" I asked well laughing.

"I'm going for a swim duh!" He said well giving me a smile that lit up my world.

"Care to join me?" He said with a wink.

"Uhm I'm good." I replied still laughing. "Whatever, I'm going for a swim." He said.

I watched him jump into the lake, and come back up shaking his head like a wet dog.

He playfully attempted to splash me, but I dodged it, and I promised him that another night I would go swimming with him.

After about 15 minutes he came out of the water, and dried off with a spare towel they had on the boat. He began putting his clothes back on.

He came and sat next to me with his hair still dripping wet "you are crazy!" I said smiling at the ground then at him.

"Crazy is what I live for." He replied then followed with a wink.

If got really silent and I knew what was coming next, my heart started beating fast.

And we both leaned in for a kiss.

Kade

And then next thing I knew we were sitting on the boat kissing.

She pulled back, out of breath. She smiled at me. And softly said "we should probably head back."

"Um Yea." I agreed, I got up and walked back over to the drivers seat and I started up the boat, driving back to the houses she sat next to me once again in the passengers seat staring out into the open lake.

She looked over at me and said "It's funny" I looked at her confused "Let me finish!" she said laughing. She continued "It's funny that all of our years growing up. We haven't met each other and then this summer, we meet and we couldn't be more alike." She looked at me and smiled.

This girl read my mind.

"Yeah, it's pretty funny." I said taking my eyes off of the lake in front of us to look at her.

When we arrived I parked the boat, and walked Olivia to her house.

"Goodnight, beautiful." I said with a smile.

"Goodnight, handsome. I'll see you tomorrow." She replied.

I walked over to my house, and quietly went upstairs not wanting to wake anybody.

I changed my clothes and went to bed.
