OK first I don't hate Jason so don't be salty. Second I don't own any characters they all go to uncle Rick.

Jason was walking to bunker nine after lunch to help out. He couldn't help but be a bit upset that he hadn't become a leader here at Camp Halfblood. Especially when he thought of how the Roman camp would already have a new practor. No one in this camp would let him lead, no they all just looked to Annabeth.

The campers looked up to him but, never followed him unless Annabeth had stated her approval. It also didn't help that everyone was moping around. You would think Percy was dead! News flash he wasn't he was just at a different camp!

Jason decided he needed to train to get his mind off it so he headed to the arena turning away from bunker nine. When he got there Clarisse was already practicing.

"Hey Clarisse wanna train together?" Jason asked her from a ways away just incase she hadn't seen him. Clarisse was one of the few people that could beat him here. He had found out that when he mistakenly had ask to see her fight to help her. Left him flat on his back within three minutes.

"Sure whatever." Clarisse responded while she got in stance. "This next one is a really difficult disarming move. It can take quite some time to learn." So she showed him. Again and again he tried to do it and failed.

"How long did it take you!?" Jason asked when he was out of breath.

Clarisse smirked at him. "Three weeks before I mastered it. But the record is a day." She said the last part with admiration. Jason had never heard her talk like that for anyone.

"Who?" Jason asked.

"Percy. His first sword fighting lesson Luke was training him and showed him the move. After drinking and dumping some water on himself he just got it. And he got it when the sword didn't even fit him. Percy can't really use any swords but his Riptide. They just... Aren't right." Clarisse spoke with such pride, like she was proud to even know OF him let a lone know him personally.

"So he gets his skills from his sword and water?" Jason couldn't help the bitter tone of his voice. He didn't even notice Clarisse tense and start to glare at him. "Everyone says he's the best swordsman in 300 years but it's because of the sword he has?"

Clarisse lunged at him and Jason lost his sword. Jason was on his back with Clarisse's blade at his throat. "First never disrespect Percy Jackson while in my presence. Second no, his skills don't come from his sword I already know that because I fought with him and had him use a different sword. I still got both mine and his blades at my throat in a minute flat. So, do. Not. Disrespect. Him." She growled the last bit and shoved off him.

Percy could beat Clarisse that fast!? No way! Jason picked up his sword turning back into a coin and walked out. He thought going to bunker nine didn't sound so bad now. So that's where he started walking to.

Finally he got there and walked in. Leo, Annabeth, and others were all working on the Argo II. None of them looked up as he walked in. So he walked over to Leo.

"How's the ship coming?" Jason asked.

"Pretty well. I think we are actually on schedule for the first time." Leo looked genuinely happy. Annabeth had a spark of hope in her grey eyes.

Annabeth had been nothing but sad and harsh since he meet her. Jason knew she wasn't mean or trying to be rude but was just... Preoccupied. So when he smiled at her and actually got one back he was shocked.

That's when they heard footsteps. Jason turned only to see his sister walking toward them.

"How are you guys?" Thalia asked. Annabeth turned at her voice and ran to hug her. "The ships seems to be coming along. You'll- we all will get Percy back soon." Thalia mumbled to Annabeth as they hugged.
