Hey I'm back for more complaining!

Again you can read this if you want, if you don't no sweat. Plus no hate is intended, if you do some of the things mentioned I'm not trying to be rude-just my opinion.

Okay let's dive on in!

One: OCs.
OCs are original characters. Meaning someone made it up, usually for role plays or something. The thing I don't like is when someone uses an OC in a fanfic. More specifically basically re-write cannon writing but add someone into it.
Like a 'The Gods Read PJO' but with some random character that they make all powerful and important but has no real substance. Things like that. If you want to use a OC in a one shot that doesn't change the story line of a series, fine-I've even done that. But if you are going to change the story, just to add someone you made up, just don't.

Two: Editing.
If you write a story, you take the time to make something. Fucking proof read it! Now I'll be the first to admit my stories aren't perfect-but I will sometimes just spend days going over a certain story and fixing it. You'd be surprised just how much fixing spelling can improve a story.
It's not even that hard-the computer gives you red lines! And if it's grammar fucking read it and re-write it so it makes sense.
I get comments all the time about how they appreciate that I go back over my books, that's kind of sad. That on a website made for writing, people have come to expect sub-par quality. I guess the only real reason behind someone having tons of mistakes in their write is if they're like in third grade or something.

Three: Giving up.
Okay, if you are going to start a book, finish it.
If you feel like you wont ever finish it, it's just not going to happen, unpublish it at least. So that others wont stumble upon it and get hooked only to be disappointed because the last time it was updated was three years ago.
I've gotten messages pleading with me to keep a story going, and I have to explain that I fully intend to finish it. That I take this seriously.
I mean come on, really?

Four: Update!
I have mixed feelings about update comments. I like them because it tells me people like it. But I hate them because I have over 20 stories I'm working on. Going back to number three, people do it because they don't know if I'll just drop off the face of the earth.
The most annoying ones are the ones that it's just that one word. Update.
I've stopped replying to any comment that is telling me to update, unless it's a really heartfelt complement. Besides this I'm in school, I have chores, I'm responsible for a lot around my house because both of my parents work 12 hour shifts for the work. I wish I could just write all day but I can't.
And you know writer's block is a thing.

Five: Follow for a follow?
Honestly what even is that? You want someone to follow you, so you'll follow them? Even if most of those accounts don't even write?
If you have to follow others to get follows, honey you're doing something wrong. And why do you want those follows? It's not real, they don't mean it. What's the point of a follow who isn't following? That's all I want to say about that.

Six: Oh I've only seen the first movie.
If you are going to read a fanfiction, of a diehard fandom-fucking know what the fandom is about. Why the fuck would you read a fanfiction, when you have no clue what's going on? It happens all the time. I'm a Percy Jackson Fanfiction account for the most part, I have people reading my crossovers for the other fandoms in it.
That isn't the main part of the story, it mainly focuses on Percy. I have no clue what going on any more with this to be honest.

Seven: Clichés.
Every now and then, a good old cliché can be good and even heart warming. But when it gets to the point that no matter how many stories I click on they are exactly the same, it is godsdamn annoying.
Come up with your own shit! It just takes slightly more work, and isn't that the point of writing? Making your own shit!

That wraps it up for this rant session. Again no hate but these things are just super fucking annoying. It drives me crazy sometimes, especially when I take this so seriously.

Anyways . . .

Love,
~Serina
