I watched the boy as he turned in his test and started to leave. He had bangs under his sea green eyes and his black hair was even more ruffled than usual. Like he hadn't slept at all the previous night. I stopped him.

"Percy," He looked at me. He was only twelve but... His aura scared me a bit. "Don't be discouraged about leaving Yancy. It's . . . it's for the best."

I saw his cheeks grow red and the glance he threw at that awful girl, Nancy. He mumbled. "Okay, sir."

"I mean . . ." I started. I whelmed back and forth a bit. "This isn't the right place for you. It was only a matter of time." I regretted the words the moment I spoke them.

His eyes shone. "Right." The boy said trembling.

"No no! Oh, confound it all. What I'm trying to say . . . you're not normal, Percy. That's nothing to be-" I tried to mend the situation.

"Thanks. Thanks a lot, sir, for reminding me." Percy blurted. I called out to him but he already was gone.

I was watching the boy. I had been almost all year. And I just pushed him away. Percy doesn't think highly of himself. There is no doubt about that.

And I just pushed him farther into that hole... Gods...
