Conor Maynard - Just In Case

"I know my heart is gonna stay,
Cause they got nothing on you."

*Caspar's POV*

My palms had begun to sweat. I could feel my body tingling as my stomach twisted and turned in all directions. I began to shake, the rest of my body being encased in a clammy heat, the covers becoming way to tight around me. The churning in my stomach moved up through my body, squeezing every inch inside of me before reaching my lungs and squeezing them tight. I was struggling to breath. Panic flashed through me as I gripped the covers next to me. A faint whimpering sounded through the room obviously escaping my mouth as my chest became tighter and tighter, the walls closing in on me. It was a panic attack, I knew it was.

I turned onto my side, away from Summer who was laying peacefully next to me. My eyes were focused on the window. It was slightly open, revealing a fresh breeze which caused the curtain to rise and fall with each blow. I began to match my breathing evenly to the curtain's movements, but the wind outside was becoming stronger. The curtain was moving up and down rapidly taking my chest with it. This was a big one along the lines of something I haven't had since I was younger.

Moisture had escaped my eyes, tears falling slowly down my cheeks as I was not improving. My chest was like a squeeze toy and the owner was stamping rapidly on it.

There was a sudden movement just a before a small hand, followed by an arm wrapped itself round my waist. I was pulled over, my back becoming flush with another chest. Summer was now awake, her body connected to mine.

"Shhh." Her breath soothed by my ear. "You're okay, you're okay." She repeated, her fingers massaging small circles on my chest as it continued to move.

"Everything's fine. You feel that?" She asked, her chest pressing tight to my back. "You feel my breathing? Follow it. Each breath of mine is yours. Each movement, each action is the same as yours. Steady. Slow."

Her voice was a calming agent, the words falling gracefully from her lips as she pressed them to my neck in order to distract me.

My chest was unravelling itself, her hands remained pressed to it. I took note of the time before squeezing my eyes shut and focusing all of my attention on each movement of her upper body.

One of her legs pushed itself between both of mine, bringing us as close together as possible.

"You're safe Caspar. You're fine." She continued to whisper calming words in my ear as I matched my breaths to hers.

Her breasts were flush against my shoulder blades, moving slowly up and down as the air began to re-enter my lungs. A shiver ran through my body as it connected with me again, the wind from the open window bringing a chill to me. I shuffled back, even closer to Summer, turning my body in her hold so I was facing her.

"Hi." She smiled softly.

"Hi." I replied, my arms encircling her.

"You okay?" She asked,  her eyes full of concern, glistening in the light from the window.

"I think so." I replied breathlessly.

"You wanna talk about it?" Her fingers scooped their way into my hair, her fingernails scratching my scalp softly to calm me.

"I-I don't know what happened, I mean, one minute I was asleep, the next I-" I rambled.

"Shh." She hushed me.
