Same Day: Baskin-Robbins
Inside: Dale's Office

Dale sitting behind his desk with his arms crossed, waiting for Scott who slowly walks in.

Scott greets with a small wave, "Hey, Dale."

Dale tells Scott politely, "Come on in." He smiles a bit, "Pull up some chair." Scott walks over and sits down in the chair in front of Dale's desk, Dale questions lightly, "Three years in San Quentin, huh?"

Scott frowns and looks away as he leans back in his chair, "You found out."

Dale nods a bit and smiles as he states, "Baskin-Robbins always finds out."

Scott tells Dale, feeling bad, "Look, I'm sorry, all right? But I..." He defends himself, "No one would hire me."

Dale states Scott's past crime titles, "Breaking and entering. Grand larceny."

Scott stutters as he tries to explain, "Look, I'm-I'm sorry, I-you know, it was-I-I don't do it anymore. I just trying-"

Dale smiling at Scott and cuts him off as he salutes him, "Respect." Scott blinks surprised and leans forward a bit, "I couldn't be happier about it."

Scott questions with wide shock eyes, "Really?"

Dale nods as he chuckles a bit, "Yeah, yeah."

Scott leans back in his chair and sighs deeply in relief as he starts to drops his head in his right hand but looks up at Dale and gestures to him with his hand, "Oh, thank you, thank you."

Dale states, "You really stuck it to those billionaire SOBs." He gestures to his computer with his hand quickly, "And the more I read about what you did and stuff, I'm like, 'Wow, I know this guy?'" Scott glances at the computer and tilts his head a little before straightening it, Dale continues with a smile, "'I'm in charge of this guy?' Yeesh!"

Scott tells Dale, hoping to keep his job, "Well, I'm very happy in this job, and I, um... I really just appreciate the opportunity to-"

Dale mutters along with Scott, "Yeah, yeah." He tells Scott clearly, "Well, you're fired, of course." Scott looks at Dale with his mouth open in shock before frowning, "And um.." He shrugs a bit as he tells Scott, "I can't really keep you on."

Scott narrows his eyes and leans forward a bit, "Wait, what? Fired?"

Dale nods, "Yeah."

Scott defends himself, "Dale, look, it wasn't a violent crime. I mean, I'm a good worker."

Dale agrees but doesn't change his decision, "No, it wasn't a violent crime. It was a cool crime." He tells Scott, "I'll tell you what, though. This will be totally off the books, off the records, but, uh, if you want to grab one of those Mango Fruit Blasts on your way out the door, I'll just pretend I didn't see it." Scott frowning unhappily, he looks away defeatedly.
