"Yo, Caleb! Nice going, man!"

"You're a naughty boy, aren't you? Right inside school grounds? Naughty, naughty~"

Iris watched Caleb's indifferent face while he walked past the main gates. He was holding her in a bridal style and looked to be completely oblivious at the guys saying something to him.

Before they got in the main gates, she had received almost a dozen threats from him. She couldn't seem to wrap her head around the idea that he didn't have any ulterior motives of taking her on a fight while she's hurt, but after threatening her that he's going to tie her up just so she wouldn't punch him, she finally gave in. Seeing that she had no further complaints, he had tied a handkerchief over her cut.

"Are we going to report this to the headmaster?" Iris asked. Three grown men picking on a high school student was some serious issue, especially that plan of theirs to keep Caleb in that hole for three days.

"Nah," He said, shaking his head. "Just like what they said about our school, 'they ain't worth shit' as well."

"But they might come back."

He gave a dangerous smirk, "Let them fuckin' try."

She blinked, "But what if they target other students?"

"Relax, they won't be back. I just know it." He said to ease her worry. "We're here."

He turned his back on the glass doors and pushed it, careful not to bump her injured leg against anything. When they got in, there were a couple guys hanging out at the lounge and they all looked up at their arrival.

"Oi, Caleb! Just in time! The coach's calling for us," One of them said. "Though I'm really curious as to what happened to the two of you."

"Did you get in a fight?"

"No, it was a fuckin' accident during the morning run," Caleb answered smoothly. "But more importantly, where's Dom? He gotta patch Iris up."

He finally set her down on one of the comfy couches the lounge had. Now that she's free of his steel grasp, she stood up and headed for the elevator but before she could even take one single step, Caleb blocked her way and looked down at her with a scowl. "Sit the fuck down."

She sighed. She appreciated his concern, but he was treating her like a helpless person. "You're making this a big deal. I'll clean this up on my own."

He looked down at her for a moment and said in a low voice so only she could hear, "Of course it's a fuckin big deal. You're hurt because of me."

"But I decided to help," Iris paused and thought about what people usually say to lighten up someone's guilt. Ah, she remembered. "It's not your fault."

"But it was still because of me. That fuckin' hole was for me."

"If you keep saying that, I'm going to push you in that hole myself."

He stopped short at her threat and looked conflicted about whether he wanted to laugh or snap. He just shook his head with a small smile, "I'd like to see you try."

"Captain, er, we really need to go," His teammate said behind them.

Caleb sighed and nodded. He looked back at Iris, "Be careful, stupid girl."
