Chapter 16 - Blind

Y/n POV

I sighed in disappointment. Aliza and Tawny said I missed a good game. Slytherin vs Griffindor and they told me Harry lost the bones in one of his arm and Draco flew off his broom. I found it hard to believe due too him showing off his skills in the first year. Parker and Mink told me it was true and to go to the hospital room if I didn't believe them.

I only took their word for it and as of right now I was walking with Ty. We were looking for Tawny and Mink because we didn't see them in class. Last I checked they don't skipped class. Prue and Parker were looking for them too. Aliza went on her own. Prue said she didn't always had to be brave because she is a Griffindor.

Ty and I searched until our next period. We waisted our lunch time to fine them and nothing. I sighed and went into potions. Snape wanted us to make some sort of potion that is supposed to help the person in someway. I was paired with Ron. Parker was with Draco while Aliza was with Hermione.

We got to work. Ron and I worked quietly and didn't even talk to each other. Hermione and Aliza were the first ones done. Ron and I were almost done, until Ron placed something in their and BAM. A cloud of smoke came on and stung my eyes. I heard Ron cough while Some only students chuckled.

I sighed and open my eyes to see everything slightly blurred. I blinked a few time and rubbed my eyes. It didn't help I continued to rub my eyes until I could see my own hands. I panicked slightly and blinked rapidly, only for everything to become dark. I heard Snape hushing everyone before I heard footsteps coming to me.

"Y/n, can you see me?" I heard Snape's voice.

I blinked threw to darkness, trying to find him. Now I was scared. I shook my head no and tried feeling for the table. I took a step forward and slipped on something, causing me to fall. I heard laughing and two pairs of feet rushing to me.

"Shut it!" I heard Parker yell. "You okay Y/n?"

I only shook my head.

Draco's POV

Y/n sat on the floor looking panicked with wide eyes like she was trying to see. I don't know what happened but Snape shooed Parker and Aliza back a picked up Y/n by the arm. She gave a startled jolt. She's blind.

"I'm getting you to Madame Pomfrey," Snape explained holding her up. "Get back to work."

Parker sighed and walked back towards me. He didn't say anything, he just went back to work.

Time Skip

We finished our potion and Snape wasn't back yet. We and a few only students waited for him until Mcgonagall came in.

"You are all to go to your dormitory's," she spoke.

Students started leaving, but I paused seeing Parker and Aliza talking to Mcgonagall. Just seconds later Parker's face fell into worry and sadness, while Mink released a few tears. They walked away and went their own way. I continued on my way and my concern went to Y/n. Eh, she's fine. She's just...blind.

I sat in the common room and Prue walked over and sat by me.

"Where's Y/n?" She asked.

"Hospital Wing I think. A potion blew up in her face and she,I believe, is blind," I explained bluntly.

Prue's face fell into sadness, "I just hope she'll be okay.."

Now I want to know what's so special about this mudblood. Why is she special?

Y/n's POV

I laid on a bed and curled in a ball in the blankets. Harry was here as well, but I could care less right now. Fear grew inside me. All heard was either fair breathing, foot steps, and voices. Wait...voices. It was the same one I heard in the halls awhile back, until I heard a another voice say 'Hello'. I only laid down with my eyes shut to look liking I was sleeping.

Who ever it was knew Harry Potter. They talked and I found out it was in fact a House Elf named Dobby. I wish I could see him, but I can't. Dobby was the Malfoy's house elf and I only met him once, but he didn't utter much to any words around me. He was sweet and very cute for a house elf. I was only wondering why he was talking to Potter.

It seemed like he was warning Potter. It was long until the professors came in. Another student was petrified. The next day Parker, Aliza, and Ty came to visit me. We talked and they helped me eat, which embarrassed me to no end. Prue came by as well to check up on me to see how I was doing. We talked until she had to go. I smiled and relaxed messing with the bracelet Parker gave me.

"How are you doing Y/n?"

I turned towards the voice. Why was Potter talking to me?

"I'm fine besides the fact I'm blind. How's your arm? From what I heard yesterday you lost the bones in it."

"Eh, ok I guess," Potter chuckled lightly. "How did you become blind?"

"Your Red headed friend put something in the potion causing it to explode. Next thing I know I lost my eye sight," I explained. "Snape said he was working on something to get my eyesight back."

We talked for a while and I will be honest. Harry wasn't so bad.

"Your not so bad for I Griffindor," I smirked.

"And your not bad yourself, for a Slytherin," Harry spoke back.

It wasn't long until we both went to sleep. The next morning Snape told me to just lay back, relax, and keep my eyes open. I did as asked and I felt something like eye drops hit my eyes. It stung a bit by I handled it. He told me to blink a couple times. I did so and slowly the blackness faded away.

Before I knew I could see again. I was happy. I could see again. I thanked Snape and Madame Pomfrey. I said bye to Harry and left. I wasn't blind and longer. With a smile I went to find my friends.
