My heart sank when I read the words that Cassidy put onto the page. I was becoming more and more convinced that I knew the girl, or at least, who she was. If I was right, the reason the girl admired the Dowager was because her own mother didn't appreciate her.
Poor girl.
In the midst of my internal reverie, I remembered Drex. Where was the boy? I wished I could keep a closer eye on the back corner, but I had no discernible reason for spending a lot of time back there. That was Marijke's area, and the girl did not appreciate any "meddling."
Or was it Haley's area?
I couldn't remember...
