There's a fine line between avoidance and ignoring. A reader can become frustrated by the actions of the characters in a story, either by the things they do or do not do. Cassidy, what I am doing is avoidance. Look it up if you will, but from the sound of it you know what avoidance is.
By the way, I can tell that you don't have the best relationship with your mother. In return for your honesty, I'll tell you a bit of my story. Not all though. What kind of person would I be if I told you everything without prompting? A rotten story-teller, that's for sure.
