Quick A/N before I start: Yes, I had fun on vacation. I did some high ropes courses and zip-lining, so obviously I had a good time. I got scorched at the beach though so that wasn't very fun. My whole torso (front and back) looks like the color of a lobster. So do my arms, but what do you expect when you're on the beach all day, and only apply sunscreen once?

Also, I'm going to warn you now that this might seem rushed, because something really bad just happened to one of my friends, and I need to deal with that, but I guess I should update too. Enjoy :)

So Ryan and I went to our lockers like nothing happened. We got our stuff for first period, and sat down in our seats in homeroom like normal. The only thing different was that we both were very confused about what just happened. We didn't talk in homeroom. We didn't talk in first period. Or second, or third, or fourth. I finally got sick of it, and pulled him into the bathroom during lunch.

"Dude I don't want an experience like last time you pulled me in here," Ryan said squirming away from me, "My mom already accused me of being gay once. I don't need it to happen again."

"Relax," I say, "Does it look like I have you pinned to the wall?"

He sighs and shakes his head.

"Good. We need to talk about this," I say, "We can't just go a whole day without talking."

"You want to bet?" He asks.

"I'm serious. What we did wasn't normal. Not for us anyways. When was the last time I gave you a hand-job and made out with you? Oh right, never. What's happening between us right now, Ryan." I ask.

Ryan stares at the floor and shrugs, "Look can we not talk about this here? Can we talk about it at home or something? I feel exposed here."

I pinch the bridge of my nose, but nod. I go to put my arm around his shoulders, but he moves away from me before I can. He just walks out to the lunchroom. We get in line like normal, and he picks up an apple juice for a drink. He never gets apple juice. We always switch. I glumly pick up the orange juice and put it on my tray though.

We get back to the table, and all of our friends look down at our trays strangely.

"What?" I ask.

"You got orange juice, and Ryan got apple juice. Did you guys get in a fight or something?" Lucas asks.

"No," Ryan says, "I just wanted apple juice not touched by him at this very moment."

"Okay, what's wrong?" Amy asks us.

"Nothing," We both say at the same time.

"You know what I think?" Tyler says, "Maybe they both want to ask out the same chick to homecoming. That would really put a damper on a friendship."

Ryan chuckled a bit, "I've got my eyes on a girl, but we all know she'll say yes."

"Who?" Amy asks, blushing a bit.

"You'll have to wait and see. I'm asking said girl out at Friday's football game, so be waiting," Ryan winks at her.

He glances over to me, and I stare down at my soggy pizza. I have decided I'm not very hungry anymore. I can feel him staring at me as the conversation at the table goes back to normal. Why am I even kind of upset about this? I stand up, and go throw out all of the untouched food on my tray. I don't even walk back to the table. I see Ryan, and the whole table stare at me as I walk into the hallway Not too long after Ryan followed me into the hallway.

"I need to talk about this now," I say to him.

"Okay, okay. We can talk about this now. I'm just..... I'm really confused," Ryan admits.
