As promised, there were a few text exchanges when we got home, making plans for what time for me to come get him and stuff like that before we said our goodnights and went to pass out.

We arranged a time that wouldn't require an alarm, meaning we could both sleep 8-9 hours, and wake up peacefully, rather than an annoying alarm that would make us hate life itself.

Once I woke up, I reached over to grab my phone, checking anything I'd missed overnight or so far this morning before sending Eugene a text to let him know I was up and going to shower.

I heard my phone yelling at me that I got a text from Eugene halfway through it, and waited until I got out and dried off to respond to it. His text pretty much mirrored mine, saying he was awake and going to shower, and he'd text me once he was out. While it was just a movie marathon date, I still wanted to look presentable, so I worked on fixing my hair and putting on a small amount of makeup while I waited for him to message and say he was done.

I heard the notification again while getting dressed, pulling on a t-shirt dress and ripped jean shorts underneath, having Siri read the message out to me.

"Out of the shower, won't take too long, feel free to head over whenever."

I pulled on thigh high boots for while we were running around getting stuff and sent him a response saying I'd be leaving shortly. Grabbing my purse, phone and keys, I headed out to go pick him up, pulling up the directions on my phone and followed them over.

"Incoming Call: Ned Fulmer" came over the sound system since it was connected to read my directions. I answered the call, knowing it would still alert me when I had to turn.

"Hey Ned, what's up?" I asked, driving along the road and tried not to be a distracted driver.

"Not much, just wanted to call and check up on you, make sure you were doing okay, it's been a busy week and all," he answered.

I glanced at where my phone was rested in its holder on my dash, as if Ned could see me throwing shade. "Ned, are you in traffic?" I asked. It was something he always did - if he was road tripping somewhere for the weekend or stuck in traffic, one of us got a call to entertain him in the meantime.

"...Yes," he mumbled in a guilty tone.

I laughed softly and started to say something when Siri interrupted to tell me to make an upcoming turn.

"Where are you headed this early? Figured you'd be in bed all day," he commented.

"Headed to pick up Eugene for date number three. I won't be in bed all day, I'll be on the couch all day, binge-watching movies with him," I explained, making the turn that it had interrupted me to tell me and waited for the new instructions, which followed to tell me how long to be on the road I was currently on.

"Date number three? What happened to date number two?" he asked, sounding lost.

I laughed softly. "That actually happened last night. I asked him to get food so we could discuss what the first one meant and stuff, and it was a short conversation so we made it into a second date. Then I came up with the idea for this one while we were on the one last night, and we were too excited to wait until next weekend," I explained.

"Glad you're happy. What are you guys doing today?" he really did seem happy, not that I was surprised.

I grinned sheepishly, again another reaction despite him not being able to see me, and gave my navigation another minute to let it tell me more directions before answering. "We're gonna get pizza, and boba and other junk food, and spend the day watching Studio Ghibli films."
