Prom night continuation....

"I thought your stay in California took so long. And now, you're here." Will said.

"I had to go back to Libertine." Jeremy answered.

"Go back? Why?" Will asked. "And why were you talking shit about me and Sonia?!"

"Sorry, Will. I don't mean to be rude." Jeremy answered.

I grabbed Will's arm and whispered to him, "We should leave."

"Just answer the question, dammit!" Will demanded. "What do you want?"

He asked one more time, and a long silence occurred. Jeremy was smirking, and in his wheelchair he slowly leaned forward to whisper to Will.

"Will,....old friend," he whispered with a grin. "I think....there's something you should know..."

"What's going on?" Will stammered, backing slowly with me.

"Will, come on!" I yelled to Will.

"Tell me, Jeremy..." Will fearfully begged. "Please.."

"O-kay," Jeremy answered, and pointed aggressively at me. "That bitch,..that bitch is a MONSTER!"

Before Will and I could say a word, Jeremy quickly bent down, reaching his arm under his wheelchair, and there he revealed that he brought with him a revolver gun.

"Will! Run!" I yelled while grabbing Will, and we sprinted in the hallway.

Bang!

Jeremy fired the ceiling, threatening to shoot us.

We ran across the dark hallway, with Jeremy shouting and laughing at us.

"You better RUN!" He yelled, trying to catch us by running his wheelchair, the gun still in his right hand. "YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY FROM THIS!"

We ran and ran, until both Will and I arrived outside, in the vast school stadium.

In the night, we arrived, panting and looking for some place where it is safe to stay.

"You've got to hide!" I said to Will.

"Why?!" He was agitated. "What about you? What is going on? Why he trying to kill us?"

"Will, now is not the time," I looked into his eyes, this time, I was worried. "Just go! Hide."

Will nodded and ran. I watched him sprint his way under the bleachers, and then he faded away. A surprise it was that night. It was just prom. A night that's supposed to be fun. But a much greater surprise came. A fearful surprise. A visit from a person whom just had his revenge coming. And he come face to face with a vampire.

I stood in the middle of the stadium with the big lights illuminated the green area. Then a shadow appeared. He spoke angrily.

"I thought you're going to leave......by flying in the sky." Jeremy sneered. "Or maybe your hunt wasn't over yet."
"Think about what you just did to me. Just look at me. I can't walk anymore because you ruined me. You killed a friend of mine. A monster like you doesn't deserve to dwell in a place like this. You just don't belong here."

"I know," I still stood there. Jeremy is now illuminated by the stadium lights. Now, it's just the two of us. "For a year that I tried to hide my vampire entity, I've lived in a place where humans go. Because I want to explore. To go back to the past. To experience what I have experienced before. To finish an unfinished business." I continued.
"But maybe, I just turned this place a chaotic one. I just made it go berserk. Without leaving any traces, or any clue. And I think, that made many people confused to what's happening. Believing that strange things do exist. A vampire like me needs to leave this place."

"Where's Will?" He asked.

"He's gone." I answered.

"You better should not hang out with humans," he said. "In the end, you'll just make them your dinner."

"I should. I'm a vampire." I answered. ".....and I can kill you just as easy."

"Well yeah?!" He thundered.  He pointed his gun towards me. "I'll kill you first!"

Bang! Bang!

Jeremy fired two bullets straight to my direction.
But I didn't feel any pain. Or any sudden jolt. I kept on thinking that everything is about to end. That a vampire could find her powers useless at one point. That she just gave up.

But I realized, I was wrong. I never heard myself scream or moaned in pain, but a man's voice was. He sounded in pain. Right in front of me was Will with two shots in his chest and his tuxedo was soaked all in blood. He had blocked Jeremy's bullets from me. He shielded me. He protected me. And saved me.

"Will!" I screamed. Will dropped in the green grass. He was unable to speak.

"Will? Will!" I screamed again trying to caress his face.

"You killed him!" I hissed at Jeremy. "You just shot him."

Jeremy was speechless. He was just sitting in his wheelchair and still holding the gun.

"H-he just jumped..." He was anxious. "..right in front of me." Jeremy spoke like he was about to cry. "I can't believe I just....I just shot him."

"You're the monster," I told him. "You will die tonight." I was so angry at him that before he can point his gun towards me I leaped to him and grasping to his neck, I strangled him hard.

He struggled to breathe. He already choked.

And with a quick jolt of my sharp fingernails, I slashed his throat. Jeremy screamed in pain. Blood leaked out very swift, oozing and staining the both of us, and then the ground.
The green grass turned red. His blood was everywhere.

Finally, Jeremy fell from his wheelchair, down to the ground, and died in the cold night of prom.

I returned to Will, who fell quiet, and turned out to be already dead. I knelt before him, and just wept.

I bent forward to kiss him in the lips, then to his neck. Finding any hope I could to make him alive again, I bit him in his neck. I could make him alive again. But Will will now be a different one. Not as a person, but a different being. He will be a vampire just like me. Alive. And immortal. He will turn into a vampire. He will transform sooner or later, or it may take longer for him, I thought to myself. But as soon as the sun rose and dawn came, I had lost hope. Will just laid on the ground, still dead.

I stood up and just watched as the sun illuminated the stadium and then the ground that was covered in blood.

I disappeared.
