All the memories being a highschool girl with the hidden vampire identity came back in my mind as soon as I entered the hallways of Libertine High. I have to pretend as a human again. The atmosphere was so strange to me. Like everything was very new. It is, obviously. Then I thought, everything will be back to normal again, and there's nothing to worry about. I'm already a new person. I'm Sonia Marcus.

In my English class, I made a friend. A guy friend. And his name was Will Day. He's an only child.  And if you were expecting that this guy is like one of those jocks in school, he's not. Although he's popular, tall, and smart -his eyeglasses tells it all. His popularity makes him standout from the crowd. From misfits.

I can tell we are somewhat alike. He likes poetry. I like poetry. And speaking of smart, he always gets the top place in our English class. And me, 2nd place. It's more like friendship goals.
What's the oddest part is, he always reminds me of Jena. The Jena who became my best friend in highschool in the past. Before I became Sonia.
I couldn't even imagine having a guy best friend.  Others say it's cool and all.

But as a vampire, trust is a different thing. If you're a human, it's either you're gonna end up a comrade, or end up as the meal.

"Looks like somebody dropped her keys,"

Closing my locker, I looked around to see who it was. It was Will, holding my keys.

"Hey, it's mine," I said, retrieving the keys from his slim hands. "where'd you get this? I can't believe you have my keys." I walked to the hallway and Will followed me.

"I don't know you know how to drive a motorbike," Will sarcastically said.

"I don't even know why you're still following me," I replied too, sarcastically.

He laughed.

"You actually left your keys in your table at English class earlier, and I have to return it, or else the owner will be forced to ride with me in my car." He chuckled.

"Yeah. Maybe because you're some kind of stalker," I joked. "Kidding. You're concerned about me, right?"

"No. No, I'm not." He was defensive. " You're just...." He paused, looked around, then returned to me. "You're just..."

"I'm just..what?" I said, becoming impatient.

"You're just...you're just special, Sonia." He uttered those words. But I knew, it was incomplete.

It was becoming so normal and comfy for him to say those words to me since we already got very close as Senior High was fast approaching. I never knew my new life could have a sweet side of it.

I smirked at him. And replied, "Thanks, for the keys. For returning the keys to this "special" person."

He smiled like he had never smiled before. His eyeglasses were shining and reflecting the light in the hallway. I say his smile coupled with his good-looking glasses was a perfect view that time. In a slow motion.

"No problem." He replied.

"See ya!" I said to him as I was fast turning around, and walked forward.

And suddenly I heard someone called out his name. A strong, manly one.

"Will!"

I looked around to see.

"Hey, Jeremy!" Will said, in excitement. "How's the game?"

"Nah, I did very well. This time I'm not letting myself down, or else Mike's gonna come pull me out." Jeremy replied, in a relaxed tone, not like the other night. He was moody. And sulky.
