chapter 1 - the dream Beggins

It was yet another gloomy day in the North of Scotland. The fog was so thick i could barely see a foot infront of me! All around the streets where drooped faces with that monday morning (or as I call it, Monday mourning) cant-be-bothered look. So I must have looked like a complete maniac with my 100 watt ear to ear grin that not even a dead puppy could get rid of....ok maybe that's an exaggeration.

Anyway the point was I had nothing to be upset about because the news had just been released that none other than Bon Jovi would be coming to the UK for the slippery when wet tour! I was beyond excited about the impending concerts but there was one problem...
There was no way an unemployed 17 year old could afford to see such a concert. Still, I was adamant that I would somehow, someway get tickets and nothing was going to stop me.

I continued to walk down the street towards my high school, which was a 20 minute walk from my house, but I was ok with that as it allowed me time every morning to think about my favourit band. As I walked past the media store my eyes where drawn to the bright television screen.

I looked intently at the screen and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. This was my chance. "Haven't got tickets yet? Have the burning desire to see the one, the only Bon Jovi live on stage? Well here's your chance" the man in the tele said. "We're offering one lucky fan two tickets to take a friend to the Glasgow show! All you have to do is answer his one question...what are the three singles from the slippery when wet album called?".

I was speechless. Without a second for thinking I went to the nearest phone box and called in my answers "you give love a bad name, livin on a prayer and wanted dead or alive"
I could never have been prepared for what would happen next...
