I remember Alex always hides a key under the front doors welcome mat. A key to the basement. I pick up the mat and throw it into the bushes. I grab the bronze the key in my small hands. And tip toe toward the door. I grab the key from my pocket, and shove the darn key inside the lock. The door busts open. And I walk into the pitch black room. I look at Alex watching the TV. He's watching Twisted Nerve. Sam still sleeping on the rug.
I walk in and drop the bronze key on the floor. Startling the heck out of Alex.
"Aw don't you miss me?" I plop down onto the coach next to him. I grab his hand.
"I was looking for you why'd you leave?"
"Jacob called."
"That chicken di**?"
"Alex!!"
"It's not an insult if it's true."
"I guess.."
"Did you answer?"
"I don't know should I?"
"Let me stop you there. Sam beat the crap out of him last night. Hells to the no you shouldn't!"
"WTF ALEX, AND YOU WATCHED?!!"
"Watched it like reality TV."
"Alex!!!"
"I know I love you to."
"ALEX!!"
"I didn't know you wanted me that much."
"ALEX.... IM GONNA KILL YOU!"
