Rain (Natsu X Reader)

A/N This isn't a request since not many people are requesting! So I hope you wonderful noodles enjoy this Natsu Oneshot!

SCENARIO: You and Natsu were heading back to the Guild Hall after finishing an exhausting job when you two were caught in the rain.

(Y/N)'S POV:

     Natsu and I were heading back to Magnolia. We finally finished the job Master Makarov had requested we take. The Job required that we hunt down two dark wizards that have been causing trouble to all towns they pass through.

     "I'm hungryyyyy" Natsu whined as he leaned against a tree. Being Natsu gets motion sickness when he rides on the train and stage coach, we were tiredly, trudging through the woods. 

     "If we stop now it will take us forever to get back!" I sigh as I too, lean against a tree. I was exhausted and the heat was killing me. The stupid sun was beating down on us, the heat was extremely harsh.

    "But (Y/N)!" Natsu whines again, "I just need a little break."

     "Fine but only for a few minutes but then we continue on our way home!" I then slump to the ground, underneath the shade of a large oak tree. Natsu then flops down next to me. We sat underneath the shade from a tree. Then shut my eyes for what seemed like only a few minutes, until I felt someone shaking me.

     "(Y/N)!" A familiar voice yelled as they ferociously shook me as an attempt to wake me.

     "Nnnnggg" I mumbled, "Just a few more seconds."

     "No (Y/N) we need to go! Wake up!" The voice continues. I slowly open my eyes to see the pink haired pyro I had been traveling with. I rub my sleepy eyes and slowly sit up.

     "ugh..." I sigh, "You wanted to relax and now you want to go?"

     "We've been relaxing for at least two hours" Natsu huffed, "What ever happened to we can't relax! We have to get to Magnolia?"

     "Finnnneeeee" I slowly rise to my feet and fix my hair, "Anyways what's the big rush?"

     "That is" Natsu then points to the sky, revealing dark, ominous clouds, up above. The clouds began swirling above the tops of the trees and a harsh wind blew past us.

     "Oh my... We need to leave! Why didn't you wake me up earlier?!" I shout as I grab the pyro's hand and pull him along.

     "I've been trying for the past half hour" Natsu huffs, as he attempts to protect his questioned dignity. I then continue pulling him along as Natsu finishes protecting his dignity. 'I can't believe I let us dawdle like this' I sigh, 'And now we are going to get rained on? Great (Y/N)!' 

     We ran and ran but the clouds kept on following us, Slowly gaining speed. My legs grew numb and felt like jello. So I slowly leaned against a tree.

     "Now we are resting again and it's about to rain" Chuckled Natsu.

     "I...I...I'm tired" I panted as I wipped away sweat that was beading down my head.

     "Oh (Y/N)!" Natsu laughed "We can't sto..."

     "Just a few second" I said placing my index finger on his lips.

NATSU'S POV:

     I was about to tell (Y/N) that Magnolia was just a few steps but she stopped me from finishing my sentence. I just couldn't help but laugh. I then watch her slid down the side of the tree.

     "We need to keep goin..." She stopped me once again.

     "Hush!" She commanded.

     "But"

     "No shush!"

     "But (Y/N)!" I whined, oh how I just wanted to tell her.

     "Do you hear that?" She asked as she began concentrating very hard.

     "Hear what?" I ask.

      "That!" She beamed, "It's the sound of people! It's magnolia but where?" I just sat there watching her, waiting for her to put two and two together. She then hopped up, grabbing my arm and pulling me with her.

     "Magnolia is right here!" She beamed as she was clearly over joyed. As we stood in the center of town she began twirling me around with her.

     "We are finally here!" She then began hugging me. I slowly hugged her back, as I wrapped my arms around her fragile waist. And right then in that instant a loud roll of thunder shook the ground below us and a wave of rain poured down on us.

     "Well we didn't get back in time" I sighed.

     "Oh well" (Y/N) laughed, "We are finally back and it's no longer hot so it's okay." She then stares up at me smiling. And we just continue to hug in the middle of the street as the rain poured down from the sky.
