This Bites (Zero X Reader)

A/N: Not a request sadly but hey it's okay! Just maybe this might interest some more readers to request... Hmmm I wonder? Anywho, enjoy my lovely noodles!

SCENARIO: You and Zero are out hunting vampires but not everything goes 'Just as Planned.'

ZERO'S POV:

     I was sitting down in my room, trying to over come the urge to drink blood, when a envelope slides underneath my door. I had a growing suspicion as to what was inside this envelope, so I quickly shot up and went looking for (Y/N). It was still night so there was barely any light, lighting my path. The trees outside swayed from side to side as a cool breeze blew by. I had a feeling I knew exactly where (Y/N) was, it was just I wish she wasn't hanging out with 'them.' Of course no matter how many times I told her I disapprove of her visiting people of that kind, she always refused, just like Yuki.

     "Oh hey Zero!" (Y/N) beams when she notices me approaching her.

     "Let's go" I say as I grabbing her wrist and dragging her away.

     "Whoa... okay I understand you don't like them but you didn't have to literally drag me off... Sheesh!" (Y/N) huffed, when I let go of her, "What's the big deal anyway? It's not like we have to hunt down another vampire!"

     I roll my eyes and hold out the envelope, and she quickly tries to retract her statements. I then continue to walk away.

(Y/N)'S POV:

     Zero held out the envelope that I always hated seeing. I release a long hearty sigh and begin feeling stupid.

     After awhile of silence, I begin to speak, "So tell me a bit about the vampire we are hunting."

     "I haven't read the actual request yet, I was hoping to read it with you so we could both be on the same page." Zero sighs, stopping dead in his tracks.

     "Oh okay, well since I'm here now, why don't you go on ahead and read it?" I suggest as I sit myself down, underneath a large oak tree. He then slowly opens the envelope, and begins reading the information that was once enclosed inside. It turns out we were, of course, hunting a level E vampire who has been abducting young women and sucking their blood dry. As Zero read the level E part of the letter, he clenched his teeth. Feeling worried I placed a soft, comforting  hand on his shoulder as reassurance.

     "Come on, we need to go, or else we may never find the level E" I sighed standing back up as I pulled him along. We dodged each and every tree, boulder and anything else that may have blocked our path. In no time flat we arrived in a small town. Not a single person stirred, and the only light visible was that of the moon.

     That was until a blood curdling scream, was heard down in an alley. As if on instinct both Zero and I rush towards the location that the scream was heard.

     "Be careful (Y/N)" Zero said as he ran down the alley and I took to the roofs of the buildings around the alley. I was hoping to spot the perp from above and direct Zero in the direction. As I searched, I heard a strange noise coming from behind me, without hesitation I turn around unsheathing my swords. To my dismay nothing was behind me, which was kind of relieving. I sheath my swords and kept on searching. I watched as Zero crept along the walls, alert, looking for the unidentified level E vamp. That's when I saw the perp crouched on the roof above Zero.

     "Ze..." As I was about to warn Zero, when a hand came from behind me and covered my mouth. I quickly began to struggle as they threw their other arm around me, holding my arms still by my side. All I could do was watch Zero walk into a trap, meanwhile I was being held against my will. Soon I could feel tears run down my cheeks as two sharp objects pierce my neck. I could hear the sucking and swallowing of my blood. My whole body grew limp. I felt helpless, my friend was about to walk into a trap and I'm here having the life sucked out of me.

     I kept trying to keep my eyes open but it quickly grew hard and the slurping sound was slowly driving me insane. I kept my eyes open long enough to watch the level E pounce on Zero, everything afterwards grew dark and clouded. 'I can't believe I let this happen, I am one of the best vampire hunters, how could this happen to me? This is the end...' Were the only things I could think about before my world went black.

     Luckily for me I did awake and not in the arms of some deranged level E. I look up at my savior and it's none other then the infamous Zero, my best friend. As I look at his face I see a huge cut across his left cheek and a cut at the top of his head. Blood and sweat covered his face and he seemed totally exhausted.

     "You were supposed to warn me if any vampires were around, not get caught by one and have nearly all of your blood sucked out of you" Zero blatantly stated.

     "Yeah yeah yeah" I sigh and lean my head against his chest as he carried me back to Cross Academy, "I'll remember that next time."

     "Heh" Zero chuckled, "You worried me." I looked at him with disbelief, "Me worry you ha! You worried me, I thought that vamp was gonna kill you!"

     "I'm not going to be that easy to kill" Zero laughed as he placed me down under a tree on a patch of grass. He knelt down to my height and lifted my chin up. He quickly began examining the bite marks on my neck.

     "Next time be more careful" Zero asked as he tore off a piece of fabric from his shirt and wrapped it around my neck in an attempt to stop the bleeding. I could only nod in response. He then picked me back up and continued to carry me to the academy. Yuki ran up to us once we got there and began questioning everything.

     "Here let me down" I whispered to Zero, he nodded and complied with my request.

    "What happened, (Y/N) are you okay?!" Yuki asked as she walked next to us. Zero had placed his hands in his pocket and was walking nonchalantly and I was kind of limping, due to my legs being asleep.

      "I'm okay we got to go to class, see you there" I waved off Yuki and Zero and I kept walking to class as if nothing ever even happened.
