I was racing to school because sadly my alarm wasn't loud enough to kidnap me from my deep slumber. Apparently no one felt the need to wake me up from my never ending misery, and I had to get ready faster than a bolt of lightning, after the sun was annoyingly making out with my face.

Last night I was ironically in the mood of Bollywood movies starring Shah Rukh Khan. Those clichéd love stories, mixed with elements of the Indian culture and a truckful of drama, formed the perfect recipe for an overly addictive drug.

I still could picture his typical move of dramatically brushing his hand through his hair to show the world, that he is indeed the only one, reigning over the Bollywood market.

My dreamy smile playing on my lips soon dropped when I remembered that Khan is in fact 52 years old. The memory of his young form flashed in front of my eyes in a haze, making it seem like just one day has passed since he was still his young, black haired self.

Hmm. Time truly flies, I tell you that.

I hastily pulled up in the school's parking lot to jump out of the car as soon as I took the key out of the ignition. I looked at my phone and breathed out a sigh of relief. I still had time to march relaxed to my locker without being late.

There were still a lot of people packed in front of the school, creating smaller to bigger groups naturally. I could spot a few Omegas here and there, reminding me of being one, as well just a few months ago. I would walk around on my own, sit at lunch on my own - but mainly outside - and protect myself on my own. One thing I had to learn the hard way was that depending on other people would just cause disappointment and harm in the end.

I mentally slapped myself for pausing too long in memory lane. But it was too late. My mood has already left me for good today.

One squad after the other left the parking lot, but before I was able to mend with the crowd someone tore me away by grabbing my arm.

The unidentified person wrapped their arms around me and squealed in delight. "I haven't seen you in days! I felt like you fell in a bottomless hole or something."

I rolled my eyes but smiled anyway, hugging her back. There was no time for me, to put my thoughts into words because Kate didn't stop babbling about a crisis, she was in over the weekend.

I looked behind her and saw many other people, I still didn't know the names of. But those who I could recognize, were Sydney and her girl-friends, Miles and some football guys, Drake, Carter, Daniel and-

Wait hold up. My eyes almost bulged out of their sockets in pure shock. Kate stopped her ramblings, blinking and looked behind her to detect the source of my bewilderment.

Confused she turned back to me and asked "What? What is wrong?"

I just shook my head, dismissing her question, "Nothing important. Where were you with your speech again?"

Kate's eyes lit up and she started talking again about her weekend, when we all walked up the stairs to enter the school building. It was obvious that Carter had to be friends with the crowd Kate and Miles are friends with. However it annoyed me that I will probably see more of both him and Drake.

We tried to push through the students in a hallway way too restricted for many hormonal teenage boys with an ego bigger then the moon. Each.

I halted next to Kate's locker, when she flew the door open, disappearing in the opening of her locker. Miles sneaked up behind her and kissed her on the cheek, when she came into picture again with a mountain of books in her hands.
