Chapter 20 - Lost and Found

Tom's POV.

"Hello?" I answered the phone, not bothering to check who was calling me.

"Is this Mr. Hiddleston?" A voice which I think I spoke to earlier today at Eilsa's school replied to me. An instant wash of curiousity came over me.

"Er, Yes it is. Who is this?"

"Hello, I'm Mrs Acher from London High." Mrs Acher said. Now I remember, I spoke to her earlier today about me pulling Eilsa out of school so we could go to America.

"Oh yes, Hello. Is this about me taking Eilsa out of school?" I asked, instantly more curious to her calling.

"No, It's not about that. I am calling to inform you that Eilsa hasn't turned up for third lesson, and no one knows where she is. We believe she has run out of school. Do you want us to call the police?" She asked like it was rehersed. How could she be so calm about this? Eilsa could be anywhere, injured or dead for what I know.

But knowing Eilsa, she's probably just run off with Jonny again, trying to scare me.

"No, don't bother with the police. I'll find her." I told Mrs Archer before hanging up.

I got up and got my jacket before walking out the door, when I find Eilsa she going to regret it. I thought I got it through to her about not running out of school. But apparently not.

As I walked out of the building, I was greeted with the reacuring british weather of rain. Great. Jumping into my car I quickly put the heating on, it was alway really cold out now. Hurry up sumer.

I started to drive down the street, hoping to see Eilsa some where. She doesn't have a phone so thats helpful.

I have been driving down street after street, some streets I didn't even know existed. I've been round parks and in shops. Nothing. No sign of Eilsa. She wasn't in the comic book store or back at the orphanige. I couldn't think of anywhere else she could be.

I'm starting to get worried now, what if she was in an accident, she's not at the local hospitle, I called them already. But she could have got hit by something and no one actualy realise. Where is Eilsa?

I stopped the car as my phone started ringing, it was Benadict, I wonder why he's calling me.

"Hello." I answered, my mind sidetracked from looking at a map that I had layed out on the passenger seat, I was trying to find a place where Eilsa could be.

"Hey, Tom, haven't spoken to you in a while, I was just in the neighborhood and thought I would drop by." He spoke happily.

"Well, It's not exactly the best of times." I murmered down the phone as I balanced it between my check and shoulder while I turned to a different part of the map.

"Oh, Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Well, if you wouldn't mind." I answered thinking it through.
