This canvas I paint of you
Your beauty as I paint it on my portrait
Colours that are only fair and true
Feelings that make me affectionate
Maybe...it's a nice thought
That you paint me in your canvas, too
Sketches that may have proof that I'm not the only one caught
Trapped in drawings without a clue
But someone has you on their portrait as they do on yours
My colours of you dripping to a blue
Only for the sketches to be brand new
The paintbrush covered with unknown colours, yet graceful
The painting makeshift you put on our canvas, I'm thankful
