Chapter 9- Here two love

Ayana.
"Okay, no matter matter how bad things get, I have to pretend everything's fine." I whispered to myself.

I was sitting on the toilet in the school bathroom. The stalls were where I usually thought about life decisions. I flushed the toilet and grabbed my book bag off the hook in front of me. After walking out of the stall, I washed my hands in one of the many sinks in front of the long mirror. 

I walked out of the bathroom on my way to my locker. Someone bear hugged me from behind. I turned around and it was Devonte. I hugged him back. 

"Wassssup." he said in his deep voice. I smiled to myself. Honestly, I was really happy to see him today. He gives me butterflies. 

"Hey Devonte." I said. "I like your hair today." Half of it was up and the rest was out. It looked cute on him.

"..heheehe, thank you." he said smiling, showing his dimples. I starred at him wishing Nicole didn't exist.

"I saw your text." I said.

"Whatchu think about it?"

Nobody's POV

"I have feelings for you too." said Ayana. 

 Devonte's face lit up and he kissed her hand. "You think I can take you out sometime?"

Ayana smiled even more. "Yesss." 

At this moment, she forget about all of Nicole's threats. She liked Devonte more than she was afraid of Nicole. 

"Ayyye, I'll text the day an time." he said.

"Okay, where'd you wanna go?" asked Ayana.

He grinned. "Issa suprise." 

Ayana giggled. "Okay."

"JAVIER!!!" yelled Roc from down the hallway. JI, and Nova were with him.

"IGHT HERE I COME!!" yelled Devonte (aka Javier). He gave Ayana a warm hug before running off to his friends. "Bye!" he said.

"Bye." said Ayana. "I'M GOING ON A REAL DATE!" she thought to herself.

"What yewr over here cheesing about?" asked Dee walking up to her.

"Devonte just.. just asked .. me out."

"Awwwe that's so cyewrt!! I know yewr happy."

"Happier than ever, no guy has ever treated like this." said Ayana.

"Wow, Really?" asked Dee.

"Yeah."

Devonte's POV

"Bro your hella happy, what you just do?" Roc asked me as we all walked down the hallway to class. 

"I asked Ayana out." I said

"Ayeeee, good job." said Roc.

"What did she say?" asked JI.

I laughed. "She said yes bro! Why the hell would I be cheesing so hard if she said no?" I said.

Roc was in the front, me and JI were in the middle and Nova was tagging along behind us."HE PROLLY JUST EXCITED TO SMASH!" he yelled extra loud. Everyone in the hallway stopped and looked at up.

"Shut TF up!" snapped JI.

"YOU SHUT TF UP!!" Nova yelled back. I sighed. Here we go.

JI ignored him and turned back to me. "Anyw-" he got cut off.

"Peasant of New York..." said Nova.

JI  stopped dead in his tracks and inhaled hard. He exhaled and looked me and Roc. "You see.. he don't want me to go street on him. Cuz I'll gladly beat his ass." He looked at the ground, smiled and laughed. I could tell he was trying to stay calm. He was using the techniques he learned in his anger management class. "But today... I don't feel like getting into it with him."

"Yeah calm your Brace-face Metal-mouthass down..."

"Anyway!!" yelled JI. "Have you decided where you gonna take her?" he asked me.

"Well, I told her it was a surprise, but I was thinking a Movie and Dinner."

"NAH!!" disagreed Roc.

"Why?" I asked. I thought it was a nice classic idea.

"Too basic cuz. You gotta take her some place that's different. Like someplace she won't expect."

"Skating?" I suggested.

He shook his head. "No.."

Key ran out the bathroom in front of us. Roc looked startled. Key did a forward roll in the middle of the hallway and jumped up with his hands in air. His big ass looked like he was in a gymnastic competition. I laughed hysterically.

"Keon what the hell?!" exclaimed Roc. We all laughed.

"My bad y'all I'm trying to wake myself up. I ain't get no sleep last night." said Keon. He jumped up and down twice. 

"okayyy?" said Roc with a confused look on his face.

"So what's good with y'all?" asked Key. 

"Well we were talking about where Javier should go on his date with Ayana. You got any ideas??" said Roc.

"Well you cou- DATE WITH AYANA!?"

 I laughed. "Yeah, I asked her out today and she said yes."

"Woww, you think she's the one bro?"

"TBH with you man, yeah I do. People say there's no such thing as love at first sight but, ever since I met her, I pictured myself being with her for the rest of my life." I said.
