Cain chewed on his nail, worried about Emerson. It was so abrupt, him leaving in the middle of breakfast. Cain worried he did something wrong. He was just doing what he did every morning! Curling up in Emerson's lap and trying to eat the disgusting cat food.

Cain jumped as he heard a soft groan from the bathroom, Emerson calling out his name. Cain yearned to go back up to the door and ask what was going on, but he didn't want to anger Emerson. Now that Cain was relatively human, he was entirely on edge the Emerson would kick his äss out of the house.

The sound of water running filled the hallway. Cain assumed Emerson was just washing up. He eagerly waited until Emerson exited the restroom.

"Em, w-what's the m-matter?" Cain asked hurriedly, words rushing out his lips.

"Nothing. I'm sorry, I just had to go. Really bad..." Emerson scratched the back of his neck.

Cain nodded firmly, as if completely understanding. He stared at Emerson in awe. He couldn't believe his best friend- his master- was his mate.

Emerson gave him a lopsided grin, leaning in close. His lips were only inches apart from Cain's and Cain panicked.

"What's that?" Cain asked quickly, pointing to a glob of whitish liquid standing out on Emerson's tannish skin.

"Uh- its, um... It's milk! Yup, I must have spilled some on me," Emerson's pupils dilated, telling clearly that he was lying. Not to mention his body language- the sudden folding of arms, as if closing him off, the too quick nods of his head, the way he sucked his lip back into his mouth, chewing on it.

"O-okay," Cain said, swiping his finger across it. He popped it in his mouth, a salty kind of taste settling on his tongue. But it was also kinda sweet- like peppermint.

Emerson's eyes widened as his Adam's apple bobbed. Cain thought about what he just tasted before deciding he liked it.

"That's s-some good f-flavored milk," Cain nodded, prancing off towards the kitchen.

Emerson stood, jaw dropped as Cain pranced back in the kitchen. That was not flavored milk, as you can tell.

Cain chewed on his waffle a bit more before declaring he was full. He leapt off Emerson's lap and onto the floor, sticking his tongue out. He scampered off into the basement, Emerson laughing as he followed him.

Cain jumped and darted behind a small sofa. Emerson chuckled evilly, before pouncing behind it too, surely trapping Cain. But no, the cat boy was long gone.

Cain meowed playfully from a corner on the other side of the room, his now green and brown eyes flashing. Emerson sprung over as fast as he could, but again Cain was nowhere to be seen.

Cain giggled as he leaned against a bookshelf, and Emerson lunged for him. Cain sprung into action, side-stepping him as Emerson fell. Cain snickered childishly, and held his hand out to help Emerson.

"Thanks," Emerson mumbled, taking his hand, but instead of pulling himself up, he pulled the smaller boy down with him,"But I like you better down here with me,"

Cain yelped, falling onto Emerson's chest. He made to get up, but Emerson flipped their positions, Cain laying beneath him. Cain hummed as he felt an aching on his back from falling. For some strange reason, it felt good to Cain...

"Try to escape now, you bad, bad kitty," Emerson playfully growled, pinning Cain's arms and straddling him.

Cain hissed back, struggling under Emerson's grip. He squirmed, desperately trying to free himself.

"This puppy is gonna teach his little kitten a lesson," Emerson whispered lowly, making Cain try to fight even more.

Emerson slowly crept closer towards Cain, his eyes on his lips. Cain grew frantic, this was all strange and not how he usually played with Emerson. Cain was just trying to act like he normally did, slightly relishing in the fact that Emerson wasn't leaving him this morning.

As Emerson's lips were about to brush against Cain's, Cain twisted his head sharply, Emerson's lips landing on Cain's cheek instead. Cain's knee flew up, coming into contact with Emerson's groin. Emerson groaned and rolled of of Cain, clutching his jewels.

"I g-guess I am a-a bad k-kitty," Cain laughed, frolicking up the stairs as Emerson rolled around on the floor cursing.

As the pain ebbed away, it was soon replaced with excitement. Cain had willingly touched him there. Emerson grew giddy before pulling out his cell.

He had to keep to his promise and ask Alpha Jameson to come over and meet Cain. Dialing in his number, Emerson listened to the annoying ringing as he waited to be answered.

"Hello, this is Jameson. Who is it?" A gruff voice answered.

"It's Emerson. I found him," Emerson almost laughed in joy.

"What are you talking about? You found who?" Alpha Jameson asked, clearly annoyed at Emerson's vagueness.

"I found my mate..."
