And to think that you
know what
true chivalry is,
is preposterous.

True bravery is when
even though
the outcome looks
grim,
you toil on.
You are ready to
face the consequences,
not for
self glory,
but for service to others.

True honor is not just
words,
nor actions.
It consists of both.
You cannot
say one thing,
and then do the other,
there is no truth to
what you say or do
and true honor's
foundation is
truth itself.

True wisdom is not only
learning what you
are doing wrong,
and fixing it for the future
but also relying on others
for it.
Oh!
the mind
cannot hold all
the thoughts of the world
in a lifetime.
True wisdom is
also accepting that
you cannot
do everything on your own,
that not everything
will be fair,
and
that to gain more knowledge,
you must ask.

True strength is not judged
by muscles and height.
It is made when
you have grace
under pressure;
when others want you
to break
but you only bend;
when you stand
up for something
that is honorable and
right.
It is not measured by
the amount
of weight you can hold,
but by how much
courage you
can muster up.

True character is
standing strong to
who you
are.
Uou are not easily swayed
by the crowd.
It is learning to become
a better person
and accepting
mistakes,
knowing that they
need to be
fixed.

True empathy is not
just
thinking of how they feel,
it is actually knowing.
You have truly experienced
what they have
and can help them in
a time of need.
True empathy is not
lying
to others or using
them
for your purposes.
You feel sympathy for the
victim.

True loyalty is
creating a strong bond with
a friend,
and staying with them,
not running when
things get harder or
when the road gets
rockier.
You are true to a fault
and have the heart to help.
True loyalty is made
up of love,
there is no room
for hate in
it.

True chivalry consists
of these things:
Bravery, Honor, Wisdom
Strength and Character,
Loyalty and Empathy.

Many people believe
they have true chivalry,
but they do not realize
all that they
are missing in life.

we
are each born
with one of
these gifts,
but the others
we need
to strive to learn.
