Magna poured herself a glass of white wine. She's a bartender, it's a late night, the building is empty. She thought she'd reward herself with a little treat after a long Friday night. Magna stared at the glass blankly for a moment. "Don't wanna get shitfaced drunk again like last time..." she said quietly. Just outside the window, there was a small flashing green light coming from some sort of parcel. Magna stood up, hit a button that closed up the bar automatically, behind bars and everything. She followed the light to outside. The black package looked almost military. She opened it up and found a flashdrive. Going back inside, she plugged it into her laptop she keeps in her satchel, which actually belongs to Lance, she just never gave it back.

"Still gotta give that damn thing back..." Magna mumbled as she opened up a video on the laptop. "Hello lucky person! You have been randomly selected to survive TEOTWAWKI! The end of the world as we know it. The ANE organization now has full access to nuclear weapons around the globe. You are person number 113 to be chosen Continent-wide out of the 10,000 entering one of various vaults. Who are we? Some of you may know us already but we are the WinterCell organization! We provide you capsules that will freeze all of you for 100 years. That's how long it will take for the radiation to subdue. Another package will be delivered to you as soon as ANE releases their nuclear weapons, goodbye, and have a nice rest of yo-" Magna closed the laptop. She was excited, yet disappointed she would survive instead of countless other lives.

"It's just a hoax." She told herself. Or was it? She was torn between the two ideas and thought to text her friend Chester about it. She sent him the video.

Magna: I'm not sure how to react to this

Chester: I got one too

Magna: Meet me at Excellostone park at noon tomorrow

Chester: You got it Mags

Magna: Don't ever call me that again or I'll cut your balls off 😡

Chester: Okay, yeesh

Around noon at Excellostone park:

Chester sat on a bench, awaiting his friend. Magna had just arrived. "What number were you?" She asked "6,537" Chester replied "What about you?" He stood up. "113" They began walking down a trail beside a stream. "I'm seriously questioning if this is real or not. I bet Andrea would want us and the rest of the gang to find out." Magna laughed. "That would be right. But maybe I didn't know her as well as you did, though I knew her longer. I didn't even get to say goodbye." Chester said. A soccer ball rolled from the field to the trail. Chester smiled and kicked it back to the kids running after it. "Thanks mister!" One called.

Magna stopped and looked silently. "They're probably all going to die.... and look at us. I'm disgusted by myself." She said. Chester put his hand on her shoulder "Don't think about it that way, we're one of the lucky ones." He said. Magna's phone started to buzz. "Hello?" She answered. It was Molly Greenly. "Hey Magna, its Molly, I need you to come to Lilac middle school now." She said. "Will do, be there in 15." Magna replied and hung up. She looked at her friend "I have to go, Molly needs me for something." She said. "I understand. I'll see you later." Chester said. They hugged and Magna ran to her jeep, got in and drove towards the school.
