Stayin' Frosty

2 hours later...

"In twenty one hours all of us will be in this bunker. There are pods inside that will freeze us and keep us alive for 200 years until the radiation has subdued. We won't age, we'll be asleep, and we won't feel a thing." Said Paige Lane to the 10,000 people in front of the immense circular entrance of the bunker built inside a mountain. "I've had you all gathered here so we may enter and put everyone inside the pods. Welcome to bunker number 5." She continued and looked left. She gave a slight nod to someone, and the entrance began to slide open. Magna watched as some people began whispers of concern. She looked around sort of confused. Technology is better than it has ever been and somehow people are getting worried.

Then a familiar face caught her eye, she saw Aaron Ralley. "Aaron! Hey!" She called and made her way over. "Magna? You were chosen?" He asked. "Yeah and it turns out all my friends did too. Molly, Chester, Marilla. I actually haven't seen Marilla yet." Magna replied. "I'm here with my family." Aaron told her. She smiled and waved to Rachel, Eve and Finn. The entrance was finally opened and the crowd began to pile in.

Meanwhile...

Marilla was driving her van as quickly as possible to the mountain, and was already over the speed limit. Nicholas yelled in pain. "Just hold on Nick!" Marilla shouted. "Is my daddy gonna die?" David asked. Marilla shook her head. "He's gonna be okay!" Timothy told his new friend. Lilly just cried into her father's shoulder as Tara tried to comfort her. "We're almost there!" Marilla made a sharp turn.

Chester made his way to Magna and Aaron along with Molly, Henry and Tyler. They all walked to their pods. "So this is it? We gonna be stayin' frosty for a couple centuries?" Chester asked. "I guess so." Rachel said. Henry opened one, there was a blue overhead light inside and it was all padded with soft pillows. "Looks pretty comfortable." He said. Finn went inside his, without closing the door at first. Paige walked by them saying to everyone she could "Everyone please place the IV into your wrist and close your pod door!" Finn listened immediately. Nothing happened and he got out. "It won't work." He said. Down the many halls of the bunker you could hear complaints of this.

Paige stopped cold. She grabbed a walkie on her belt and said "Richard there's been a malfunction." With a shaky voice.

Marilla looked ahead and stopped the van. "We're here." She said and got out. Lex arrived and parked beside. "Hey." He said to Marilla. She frowned. "What?" He asked. Tara opened the door. "My dad hurt his leg! I think he fractured it!" She jumped out. "Oh god!" Charlotte said getting out of the car. Nicholas was pale, they carried him inside. "You're gonna be fine..." Marilla kept telling him. And each time he would answer "Ain't no way by now."
