Regret

Chapter 6

We were driving now on a highway, it was quiet and there weren't really any cars on the road. Then the blonde who was driving spoke.

"The name's Leah, what's yours?"

"Gaige." I replied simply.

" You don't talk much do you?" she asked.

I replied with a shrug of my shoulders. I couldn't deny that I didn't talk much because in truth I didn't. In my old pack I was known as the lone wolf. I didn't talk much unless it was my parents. That changed when I met Sauna... my Sauna. No! Might don't deserve calling her mine.

"Hey Earth to Gaige...." Leah said.

I looked her way. I should really learn to control my thoughts.

"I apologize Leah, I will try to keep my thoughts together."

For a moment Leah and the redhead just stared at me. Then they started laughing. it continued for a while util it died down.

"Man Jamie, you always know where to find the looney ones."

The girl Jamie, replied.

" Hey it's not my fault! but hey you gotta admit this one is cute."

She glanced toward me and gave me a wink. I couldn't help the blush that came to my cheeks. I tried to hide it by looking down, but Leah saw.

"Awwwwww he's blushing!" she said.

I felt my cheeks go even redder and then both the girls started laughing again. then I felt the corner of my mouth turn up the slightest bit.

This is the first time I have smiled in so long, even if it is only a little turn of my mouth but I have to say.

I haven't felt like this in a long time, it feels good.
