I have always known Sauna from when we were kids. We were the kids in class who people would call the losers or the loners. We didn't talk much, and most people didn't bother us, but I knew that neither of us minded. I can never forget the first day I laid eyes on her. We were both ten years old, and I saw her sitting outside all by herself....

*Flashback*

I timidly walked toward the girl who was now reading a book, I don't know why I came over. She looked calm and at peace , maybe that was why I came. I never saw her before either so that may be another reason.

"Hello." I looked up. I didn't notice I had been standing there zoning off.

"Hi." I said. I was nervous all of the sudden, she was really pretty up close. She had brown hair and green eyes. I liked her eyes, I was drawn to them. We didn't say anything else after that, I just sat down with her. she didn't mind either, she just continued to read her book while I stole glances her way. That was the first time we say there under that large tree, and spent time together. It was really nice, and the next day I came back hoping that she was there, she was.

*Present*

"Gaige, son we need to talk." my father said. I didn't want to talk I wanted to think, but of course when my father wants you to do something, you do it.

"Coming." I said. I walked out of my trashed room, stepping around the broken prices of glass. When I got downstairs I saw my mother standing by my father who was siting on the couch. He looked up when I came in, and for a moment we didn't say anything. We just looked into each other's eyes. I looking into his blue eyes , and he looking into my brown eyes. Then he spoke, " Son, I don't know how to tell you this..." he looked at me with such pain and sorrow, I couldn't help but to expect the worse. I didn't care though I deserved it.

"Gaige." my father said. "You were banished by the Alpha, for rejecting your soulmate, who then decided to kill herself." he said. I looked at my mother who was at the verge of tears. "Gaige!" she all but screamed. "You should go to the Alpha, and submit. Admit your wrongdoings. We knew you were scared, that would be the only reason you broke such a law. Please Gaige." she sobbed. " I can't lose my only child!"

I looked at her crying and then I felt something wet on my cheek. A tear. I looked at my father, then back at my mother and said my last words to them before I ran outside into the forest. "Don't worry guys. I love you, but I deserve this. Tell Sauna's parents I said sorry.
