everyone is at the hospital: jeff, hannah, zach, ryan, sheri, alex, montgomery, and clay.

i sat with my hands locked together, elbows on my knees and my hands on my lips, tears softly falling down my face.

the more i think about the situation, the more i need to check on her, but the stupid fucking doctors won't let anyone in yet.

everyone was crying, and if they weren't they were on the verge of it. hannah was crying into clay's shoulder and everyone was comforting each other.

"you okay?" i look to my right and see zach patting my shoulder. i nod and give him a weak smile returning my gaze to the dirty green, blue, and white checkered tile floor.

"rylee hill?" the nurse calls from the hallway. everyone stands up looking at her. her eyes widen a bit, but then she waves everyone her way. i immediately follow her to the room, my speed quickening.

i stop in the doorframe, my heavy breaths stopping when i see her lying lifelessly in the hospital bed.

"come on." zach comforts me. i nod my head and walk in, pulling up a chair and sitting right next to her.

she's laying down with her head leaned to the left. her left arm is placed a little more ahead of her hip while her right arm is against the bed.

"hi everyone." she offers everyone a small smile and they return it. people stared conversations with her and i just listened, continuing to hold her cold hand.

"we'll give you two some time alone." my head perks up and i see hannah smiling at me and walking away with the rest of the gang.

"rylee, why would you try to do that?" i look at her sorrow filled eyes and she sighs.

"i just couldn't take it anymore." she whispers looking down at her now bandaged wrist.

"why didn't you come talk to me? you know i'll always be there for you when you need it." i tell her.

"i know. i just didn't want to go through it anymore and i wanted it all to end." she cries, her eyes getting teary.

"come to me next time. don't ever try that again." i comfort her.

"i don't want to try it again." she sniffles.

"please, please promise me you will hold on tight and won't let go." i squeeze her hand with my second one on top of hers.

"i promise."
