Dogscar, Hawk, and Moon walked through camp as dawn had finished it's daily creeping across the morning sky.

"Who's this?" Oreo, an old, black and white tom asked as he laid his amber eyes on Dogscar.

"This is Dogscar." Moon announced, "He's joining us."

"Well alright then." said the black and white tom, "My name's Oreo if you ever wanna meet again."

After introductions, a curious look grew in Oreo's amber eyes, "Come to think of it, y'all look quite a bit like Chloe."

"Who's Chloe?" Dogscar asked.

"She was our last leader," Hawk explained, "before our father."

"Luna!" Oreo called out to his sister, the nearest cat old enough to still carry Chloe's memory, "Get over here!"

"What is it, Oreo?" she lashed her black tail as she marched over to the group of cats.

"Who does that look exactly like?" he flicked his white ears over in the direction of Dogscar, who was growning uncomforable by the minute.

Luna gasped, "Stars! It's Chloe!"

Cats began to grow interested in their conversation after Luna's exclamation.

"Who are you're parents, son?" Oreo asked.

"Um," Dogscar flattened his ears nervously, "Well, my mom, was called by two names, Silverfang, and, uh, Bella. I don't know who my father is."

There was a stunned silence across the camp at his nervous words.

"Little Bella," Luna sighed bittersweetly, "has kits?"

Moon hated it when adults went all mushy.

"Well, uh," Dogscar was still being put through the torture of having to talk to cats, "sh-she died, though."

"What?" Oreo gasped.

"There was a dog and uh-" Dogscar choked on his grief.

After a long and unsettling pause of silence, Hawk said, "Does this mean he gets to be leader?"

Oreo shrugged, "If he bests you in battle, I don't see why not."

Hawk purpousely fell on his face before Dogscar had a chance to even look at him, "Okay, you win!"

Moon rolled her eyes.
