Warriors: Moon's Dream

Chapter 37

     Moon stepped through the trees, it had been a moon since she died and she had brought Dogstar to visit her in a dream.

"Nice to meet you, where've you been?" She said, voice echoing through the trees.

"Moon," he said, "I don't know what to say to you right now." Moon frowned, not understanding his reaction.

"I've learned... things about you." He tried to explain.

Moon realized what he meant and shrugged, "I can make the bad guys good for the night." All she wanted was to see him again.

Dogstar shook his head, "Moon, I can't be with you. You're dead, and obviously not in StarClan."

      Rage bubbled up inside of her, StarClan, if real, was obviously foolish she had done the right things, right? Moon unsheathed her claws, "So it's gonna be forever, or it's gonna go down in flames."

"I don't want to fight you." Dogstar said, but it was too late Moon had leapt on him, claws unsheathed, but Dogstar was powerless from the love that still lingered. He could only cry in pain as the cat he had once loved more than anyone else in the world tore out his pelt.

    Suddenly, Dogstar began to fade under her claws, He's waking up. she realized.

       "Great StarClan," Moon gazed down at her paws, covered with the blood of her lover, "I really am insane."
