Warmth, pure warmth and nothing else.
Moon awoke from her dream to find the real world where she was curled up inside of a round, black monster paw. She had this dream a lot. Was it a wish her heart had come up with in her dark and empty world, or a distant memory from long ago? Moon didn't know, she never seemed to know anything.
Moon sat up to lick her winter white paw of the black soot that had collected in her nest.
She leapt out of her nest to see the large pile of twoleg trash that her father sat on top of. He had fought and killed his way to becoming RoseClan's leader so he could lead them to avenge Moon's mother who had died before she could remember her.
"Today is the day!" He cried from his perch to yowls of enthusiasm from the cats below him.
"Your father's pretty cool." A black and brown tom sat down next to her.
Moon glanced back at Monkey with her canary colored eyes, "Yeah, I guess."
"Yeah, I can't wait to fight the clans later!" a gray fluffball of a tom plopped down on Moon's other side.
Monkey looked over at his more enthusiastic friend, "How many clan cats you gonna gut, Smokey?"
Moon didn't listen to his answer, she didn't care. Smokey was too soft to gut anybody.
"Come on, guys." Moon said, flicking her white tipped tail as she walked to where the cats had gathered.
Moon had finally proven that she could be allowed to join battle, just in time for the battle to end them all.
