Chapter 19 - I'll Be There

           I took a deep breath and opened eyes. I kinda should have asked Zeus where i would be at when i walked through the portal. I woke up in a coffin 6 feet below ground. It a was nice coffin if im being honest its sooo much better then my mattress at my dads. I put my hands on the lid and pushed. It budge a little bit. I pushed again and i could feel some dirt shift on top. The lid was thrown open.
    "Hehehe lookie here." A familiar short devil face said with a small shovel. It was Derrick the pawn shop imp. He helped me out.  I looked around where i was burried at and it was nice plot in the middle of Gonzales (proud of my family for spending money on me in death ).
   "Glad i came at the right time huh?" Derrick said nudging my knee (he's  knee height )
   " What were you gonna steal?" i asked with a stern face
   "me? Steal? That's absurd? " he said gasping.
   "Here's are my shoes and tie" i said giving him my stuff " i would you give you this suit but i kinda like it " i said popping the collar and doing finger guns like the fonz
   " oooooh stacy adams and Calvin Klien don't mind if i do." he said inspecting the items.
   "okay now I have business with a certain some one but i will need your help. " i said
   " just say my name and I'll be there" derrick said before he disappeared in thin air.
    I went to the park and sat by the tree she was turned to stone at.i Placed my hand on the tree and realized i could sense her and said out loud "im waiting" the way we used to communicate when i was in San Antonio. I got back no response but i still waited.
    It was about a hour before she came. I she stared at me with watery eyes with a huge grin on her face. I walked up to her and held her in my arms. I could feel her tears through my funeral clothing. She looked up at me.
  " i love you too" she said. It was the first time ever she ever said that and i just picked her up and spinned her around feel excited.
  " okay now tell me everything" she said wiping the tears and calming herself down.
   So i began my story of the gaming session with Zeus and everything he told me
  " SO YOU BEEN DEAD FOR A WEEK AND THE WHOLE TIME YOU WERE PLAYING VIDEO GAMES WITH ZEUS WHILE WE CRIED AND MOURNED YOUR LOST"  she said yelling giving me a pouting face. I gave her a sly smile and pulled out the thing i wanted Zeus to make me. I showed it to her. It was one of those heart rings that is made up of 2 rings that are half of a heart. (yes its cheesy but there something different about it.)
     " i want you to wear one half of it. This symbolizes where ever im at i will always be with you just hold it and think of me and i will be there. Even though now i may disappear though since im dead and nobody expect you know im alive. Just when ever you feel alone or need me use the ring okay im no a full time protector i guess but i will always come back though. " She looked at the ring thinking and then put it on and smile at me with teary eyes.
   "What now? She asked holding my hand.
   " Well a friend is waiting for me. " i said. I could clearly see her mood change so i leaned in and kissed her cheek . " i love you and nothing will change that". I smiled. We hug one last time before i had to set off again. I hate leaving her but i have to find cure to this curse before it takes over everything i do from here on out is for her and her safety.
