Well, would you look at this? I never thought I would ever get to finally tell my story. Who would've thought so, anyway? I never expected to meet a dimension-traversing author who could help me tell this story.

Who am I? Glad you asked, person reading this novel. While you may not have initially asked the question, you're mentally thinking about it now. (Goodness gracious, I'm just like my goofball of a brother.) As the title of this Prologue chapter says, I am Princess Lenora of the Oregon Province. I'm writing this sort of in the form of a journal entry and passing it onto J. M. Nelson-Philpot, a good friend of mine, to write in the form of a novel.

We live in a massive, vast, still yet-to-be-fully-explored landmass, split into 48 Provinces. While the nature and wildlife flourish, some rulers of the Provinces seek to abuse the natural resources for their own selfish benefits. Now before I continue, I just want to mention that this is NOT some political stance on the modern government or environmental situation. My ramblings are simply my opinions. As this Prologue is akin to a journal, I'm allowed to write whatever the heck I want to write.

So, about this war—it was the catalyst to wars soon to come. Hundreds of lives lost, demons rising to the surface of the world, and gender roles. I guess. That was a part added by J. M. Nelson-Philpot. My point is that the war was awful, a repeat of what we call the War of 1806. A battle that took place ten years prior to this journal I'm writing. I was only a little girl back then, but we were still victims of war. We had no idea the adversary that sparked that war would come again... This is the beginning of our story.
