Alexis P.O.V

I pulled my black jeep wrangler into my driveway. I looked at the boy sitting in the passengers seat. He felt me looking and he looked back. I smiled a bit and he started to laugh. After a few seconds I joined in.

We had just come home from our last day as juniors at Redwood High School in Los Angeles, California. The feeling was bitter sweet. I was really glad that I wouldn't have to go to school every single day but I was also sad because I probably wouldn't see some of my friends for a while. Although I guess it didn't really matter as long as I could see my best friend Tristan.

We got all our stuff out of my car and went inside to change and go to our favorite place, the caves. Really its a wooded area behind our neighborhood that leads to a clearing which drops off into a bunch of caves. It's where we go whenever something important happens. Nobody really knows about it besides our two families.

After we changed we went down to the kitchen to pack our bags with food and as we were about to leave my mom stopped us.

"Alexis, Tristan, how was your day?"

"Hi mom, it wasn't too bad, Nicole cried. She said she would miss me the most out of everyone in the whole school."

Tristan chuckled next to me. Nicole was a senior this year but she had known me since 7th grade. She hated me. I don't know why but it didn't matter, I never let her get to me.

"Of course she did, who wouldn't," my mom chuckled along with us.

"We're gonna head to the caves for a while, is that alright?"

"Why do you even ask, we all know you would still go even if I said no. Do you have the camera?"

"Oh, no I don't, you want to get it for me?"

She disappeared into the hallway and came back back with the small camera.

"Here you go hun, be careful."

I took the camera and put it in Tristan's bag.

"Thank you mom. I love you. Oh and I ask because I'm polite and I was raised by the best parents ever." I called as we walked out the door. I heard her laugh as the door closed.

The walk to the caves was silent, like usual. Until I heard Tristan stop walking. I turned and saw him taking the camera out.

"Tris? What are you doing?"

"Taking a picture, what are you doing?"

"Standing here waiting for you to hurry up."

He laughed, took his picture and continued to walk. I just rolled my eyes.

We got to the caves about five minutes later because Tristan wouldn't stop taking pictures. I was getting annoyed so after about the tenth one I asked him why he felt the need to take so many pictures. He didn't answer me.
