Motion

Prompt: motion catchers can see the way people are going to move before they do (sounds like a good way to cheat in rock, paper, scissors.)

William sighed, slouching in response to the new student, tallish with messy hair covering his forehead.

"Hello class this is Cobalt Aline," the teacher explained not taking their eyes off of the current paper they where reading.

"Hi," said Cobalt.

It was then William noticed something Cobalt was staring at him, not looking around the classroom or really anything normal, this caused William to turn around making sure nothing was behind him.

"You can sit by William over there" suggested the teacher clearly not noticing (or caring ) about Will's uneasiness.

Cobalt slowly walked over to the empty desk. Not before stopping right next to will's desk and muttering the words.

"I can't predict your movements."

Those words sent chills down Will's spine, his mind finally understand what why he was staring. Cobalt was a motion catcher, someone who could sense movement before it happened, William sat there the rest of the class looking out the window ignoring everything. As Soon as the bell rang and Will rushed out of the classroom. Did he fully understand what cobalt meant...no but he sure as hell was questioning it. The rest of his school day went on normally, but home was different to say the least.

The first thing Will noticed was that his dad was home when he got there.

"Hey kiddo how was school" his dad asked.

"It was fine, we also got a new student," William responded.

"Oh really what are they like?"

"Well I kinda didn't really interact with them, but I have a small question."

"My son has a question oh praise the gods, anyways fire away."

"Yah thanks dad, but what does it mean when a motion catcher can't predict your movements?"

"Usually it means that their destined to be with that person, why."

"No reason..."

Will knew his dad was probably trying to press him for more information but Will was to lost in thought.
