Godric inhaled, exhaled and rubbed his forehead. He spun his wand in his hand like an intimidating dagger. Godric stared off into nothing as everything was still in the castle. His brown eyes piercing into the tall window in front of him. His focus was broken by Helga who quietly opened the Great Hall door. He didn't dare to turn to see who it was, because he already knew. Helga spotted him at the Gryffindor table and she slid in across from him. It was silent, for Helga hadn't been sure on what to say, fearing it would trigger him to Stupefy her. She gracefully folded her hands on the table.
"We always meet or talk past midnight. Odd, isn't it?" Helga shared a feeble smile. "I think-"
"Hush" Godric spoke. It was the second time he had silenced her, and frankly, she wasn't enjoying it. Now he had made her upset.
"Well I apologize for trying to help. And if you want to 'clear your mind' I suggest going to bed like everyone else". She breathed. Helga got up feverishly but Godric grabbed her forearm, signaling for her to stay. She grudgingly obliged and stayed seated.
"Why would he do that?" Godric said with distress. He was obviously hurt by the events but Helga gave no pity, even for a Hufflepuff. Godric waited for her to start bashing on Salazar and his outrageous actions, but she hadn't. "Well if you want to find out why, I suggest going to him yourself and talking to him about it instead of being children and only sharing spiteful glares". Helga finished with no sympathy for the either of them. She got up and left Godric alone in the still and quiet Great Hall.

The day after the alarming incident, everyone and everything became tense. The students weren't as affected and brushed it off, continuing with their Term and lives. At lunch as the students were happily eating and chatting away, there were only 3 professors at the table. The professors table was very quiet, that is, until a Slytherin student had cautiously approached the table. Helga, Rowena and Godric put their full attention to him, desperate to avoid the awkward silence between them.
"Hello love do you need anything?" Helga cheerily said. The boy had dirty blonde hair, but in a matter of time it would be fully blonde.
"Professor Slytherin was not at class today. Two students dared another student to go to his Professors chambers. She went and heard smashes of glass" The boy finished with a worried expression. "Sorry to disturb.."
"No no!" Helga reassured. "It's alright. Thank you for telling us. We will notify Mr. Kedt right away! He will fill in for Mr Slytherin".
Rowena was a tad concerned with the state of events. "Sorry," she said, "what's your name?"
.The boy kindly smiled.
"Malfoy, Monolithos Malfoy".
Godric choked into his cup of butterbeer. Mr. Malfoy raised an eyebrow. "But you can call me Lithos". He didn't smile as kindly to Godric as he did to Helga and Rowena. Lithos walked back to his table and Godric immediately started to banter.
"Monolithos? What kind of name is that?" He snorted. Helga and Rowena leaned over to give Godric dirty stares, but he got a message out of it.
"Oh no" he said. "No no no no. I am not going to fetch Salazar. Are you mad?" Godric begun shooting off every excuse imaginable.
"You two have an awful lot to chat about" Helga said slyly. "All in favor?".
Rowena and Helga herself raised their hands. Godric groaned and almost slammed his head into his plate of food in despair and dread.
